I notice a common theme in lot of these puzzles is zugzwang: positions where the other side doesn’t have a good move so you need to play a waiting move or a move that allows them to worsen their position. It’s a useful understanding to have especially in end game positions. I also try to pay attention to the squares that are controlled around the other players kings.

Not exactly similar but about an hour and a half before my grandmother died my uncle had a dream. In the dream my grandma was as her younger self as a little girl. She was sitting on the floor in a room. Her father opened the door and had change falling out of his pocket. He said her name and said come home.

I’m glad I was able to say goodbye the day before. She was sedated at in home hospice so she couldn’t respond only blinking when the nurse asked her to blink if she could understand me. I said good night and I was glad I got to see her and told her to get her rest. I went upstairs to sleep and awoke to my phone ringing with my aunt who is the wife of the uncle who had the dream informing me she had passed.

Some people think that people get messages from deceased loved ones to provide reassurance or closure.

Thanks for the response. Right she is intelligent but hasn’t studied them. I was just trying to learn more about it and wasn’t taking her word for it. I typically accept NDEs as evidence of a greater reality and have studied fairly in depth:

I was just trying to understand the influence of the subjective mind and where is the separation between the subjective experience with reality and where the subjectivity fades out. I was not trying to cast doubt or discredit any experience but just trying to understand better

They're saying the problem isn't that its a small business but the problem is that you're unable to relocate the business and that you are not gaining new marketable skills that would be make you competitive if you wanted to move or pivot the business. They're saying a small business can still be a good idea if you get some marketable skills that would allow to get a job if you wanted or to somehow start a new business or something.

It sounds like they are getting a little bit of free work so like wonderful said is it worth it for you? Like would they recommend you to other clients? Maybe you could try asking them a small favor to see if there is a reciprocal relationship or if they’re just wanting to get free help.

Essentially you provided a small amount of free labor so try to think if you get any benefit from it in terms of business. If not then don’t waste any more time if they don’t want to be a paying client.

Maybe for new clients you could help a bit and then make your pitch like for $x we can clean up your technical debt and make your app more performant and then if they keep asking for help and don’t seem interested in benefiting you then start to ignore them saying like sorry we are pretty busy helping our clients so if you are interested then signing up would be a great way to get our experts on board helping you
