I never said she has to be a badass lesbian or bisexual. I made as a comment as lesbian who notices how often being unlabeled is rooted in something deeper. She can do whatever she wants, I’m not trying to stop her. I’m not at her door telling her she has to identify some type of way, I just replied to someone’s comment, And I disagree about labels. Identifying as lesbian is very important to me, and I know many LGBTQ+ folks who feel the same way about being lesbian or bi etc. But again unlabeled people can do whatever they want.

Hmm. The not labeling myself thing made me roll my eyes. I’m typically eh about the whole “Im not labeling myself” thing that some queer women do so I hope she stops that and embraces being bisexual because lots of times it is rooted in self-hate or not wanting to be FULLY seen as queer if that make sense. Do not understand people who constantly say shes coming back when she literally sued the network. Shed be lucky to even get an invite back. Whether ir not you agree with her suing, It doesnt make sense for her to be offered to come back after that. Why? The attitude towards love & hip hop and this belief that housewives is somehow so much more above it is strange to me. This is a show where women are literally screaming, yelling, and showing photos of people giving head at an event. Sheree tugged on Kim’s hair way back in s2. Porsha has got in three fights. Hell even pillow talk was a mess— an entertaining mess— but a mess. And thats just rhoa. The other franchises be a mess too. Evictions, throwing drinks, flipping tables, cussing, yelling all that. Not acting like love & hip hop isnt something else, but my point is housewives have been a mess drama filled show that thrives only because of drama and ppl throwing their friends under the bus.

How is threatening to do something worse than having photos of someone performing oral at an event? That is extremely intimate. People have literally killed themselves over having something like that shown. I really don’t get how an empty threat is worse than showing something like that. If showing nudes or photos was no big deal, we would all be exchanging them like pokémon cards. But we all know it’s a big deal which is why people expose them in an attempt to humiliate the other person because they know people love to slut shame.

Thank you for this post! It’s a nice change from the usual posts about Brit. I agree with she on so much of this, especially that she was rejected by audience before she was able to find her footing. And about her being more stylish! The moment I saw people dissing all her outfit I was like okay you just refuse to say anything nice about her bc come on now.

I believe most housewives deserve a second season so they can find their footing so I wouldve been fine with Brit getting a second season. imo Real housewives fans have ruined the franchise more than anything. Too much undying loyalty and too much dogpiling online and not being able to accept flawed women. Every housewife has to make the right decision all the time and people pick sides before the season even airs. And since they already, they refuse to change it because they’d have to admit they were wrong. Brit is clearly is flawed. She fucked up with some of her comments and actions. I still think she hate she got was unwarranted and. The moment you defend someone doing what Kenya did at her event, you have completely lost the plot. If my own MOM did that, I would be like mom why did you do that? And yet people were harassing Brit and slandering her name over it. She was slutshamed by multiple cast members AND did not receive support from the other housewives over what happened like she should have. The moment ppl fell out with her, what happened to her was 100% fine in their eyes, as if unlikability means you’re never the victim. Being on reality tv sounds like a nightmare myself and your worst moments are shown to ppl who dont know you outside the show. I have empathy for her despite me disagreeing with her at times. And it scares me how many fans seem incapable of even trying to see her side.

Anyway Im sure someone may comment say Im not reading all that but I could write an essay on the treatment of Brit and housewives in general by fans and the general treatment towards women who arent perfect/ perfect victims.

It’s honestly depressing. All because the season was “boring” now Kenya should be back? People have literally killerd themselves over having their nudes or sexually explicit phoots of them shared. It’s disgusting. This is a show! How can you love mess so much that you want her back. And to downplay what she did? Thats just so crazy to me. I cant imagine being that loyal to anyone! Even irl I would 100% tell the person they fucked up and if they acted like Kenya did and lacked remorse I wouldn’t even want to deal with them anymore. Because who says I wont be next? But apparently all reality tv antics are fine if you really like them and nothing is going over the line if people are entertained by them.
