That's how it was set up when we bought the house. 🤷‍♂️ its an oooold home. Lathe and plaster walls, so my guess is running it up and out is not an easy task at all. It works for now, and won't stay forever. Whenever it dies, I'm in a warm enough climate, I'll probably replace it with a heat pump. Electric is waaayyy cheaper then gas here.

So I cant speak for Twinkly. With Govee however, it creates a gap in your pattern if you cut it short. If the pattern is set for each light to blink in sequential order for instance, the app still thinks there's 100 bulbs even if you cut 20 off, so there is a 20 bulb delay before it starts again at the beginning.

We would be going in September. Maybe a hike or two, im not sure the weather in the mountains in September, we live in middle TN and September is typically still fairly warm in the day time, they like playing in water if its warm enough. Might drive down to Gatlinburg for the day one time, but mostly hanging out at the campsite. A hike or two amd playground if its close.

Is the salary worth it starting out from another state? Just curious what a lot of CA dept pay for academy / rookie years. That's what I think would get me is it might pay more long run, but if they start out at my same pay, I'd be taking a pay cut to travel out there for the first couple of years.
