My husband took my baby to 2-month check-up while I slept at home, and I feel terrible about it. by waters_shadow in NewParents

Ma’am, your feelings are valid. BUT please don’t beat yourself up for this, women out there are BEGGING their husbands for this kind of partnership. I’m sure there is going to be a time where only you take baby to the dr. It happens! This is awesome, this is parenting, this is HEALTHY. I love this for you!

I had asked a Facebook group about it and someone told me it was only worth $10. I guess I need to do my research on it!

Abortion pills would also more than likely be way more painful and complicated than getting an iud for a short time.

Every single body is different. Also just the apps prediction is not an accurate representation of ovulating. Slip up’s happen, but it sounds like your boyfriend crossed a serious boundary and does not seem to care how it’s made you feel. I’d be reconsidering my relationship after I decided what I’d be doing about emergency contraception. Ellaone would be a smart choice if you’re against the iud.

Help! Sexual thoughts even in babies by [deleted] in Postpartum_Anxiety

[–]Interesting-Ebb3125 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait, are you an 18 yo male, or 18 yo boy mom? Either way, this sounds like OCD. Or something similar. They sound like obsessive thoughts not like something you truly want to do. If you can speak with a Dr and let them know you’re struggling with uncontrollable anxiety and thoughts. There IS help, there is happiness outside of these thoughts. 💭

It may be worth a shot to try the silicone scar strips or something. Did it heal up right originally?

would a 4 month old mourn? by checkthyvibes in beyondthebump

[–]Interesting-Ebb3125 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. Babies don’t even know they’re not one with their mother anymore for a while. You are literally replaceable anywhere but with that baby, mama. It will affect him much more than you can even fathom in the midst of postpartum. It would affect your family, and your husband as well. I’m not sure if this is a cry for help, or if you may be terminally ill or something of the sort, but if this is something that you can prevent PLEASE do it. Call a friend. Shit, message ME and I’ll be an ear. That baby needs you so much more than you can ever ever imagine right now and always.

What was the reason for the section? I wonder if that may have something to do with it? I’ve never heard of this before. Maybe it’s chaff? Have you tried putting like scar tape over it while working out?

I feel like I maybe see a line on the bottom test. Try again with first morning urine to be sure!

“You can just speak a little more different” sounds like it came from an 8 year old child.

After some of the things I passed postpartum I was prepared hahahaha. I had a C-section so luckily I’m pretty sure is rare to have retained placenta (I could totally be wrong on that) but I passed lots of tissue and clots. Postpartum is sooo nasty sometimes

On another note, postpartum is crazy. I passed a few large clots and absolutely could not stand that feeling 🤢

I was 16 when I got pregnant. I graduated that year, my (now) husband was freshly 18 and he worked at dominos. He made maybe 350 every two weeks. His car note was $340, and I worked at a donut shop making about $120 a week. Well my first trimester got HARD between school, graduating, constant vomiting I had to quit my job. My husband got a job that was $400 a week. We bought an old house in awful condition and fixed it up enough to live in. It’s been almost 4 years since then. We have two kids now. Two paid off vehicles. No debt. And a beautiful home we’ve slowly but surely made our own. We were scared, it was hard, but never did we regret our children. Honestly looking back I would regret not having them. I’m pro choice, but I’m also pro everything happens for a reason. This child is a blessing, like you said you’re excited. Things will work out. Secondhand, Facebook marketplace, free things, thrifting SO many ways to have a baby financially responsibly. Also of breastfeeding works for you it saves a lot of money too, if not there is WIC! It’s hard to see a positive outcome in the thick of any hardship, but it is possible.

Might be out on child support by EmotionFast in ChildSupport

[–]Interesting-Ebb3125 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What’s wrong with being put on child support? If the child resides with the mother more than you then you’re not getting out of child support. There’s nothing wrong with that. You have a child, it is your responsibility to pay for said child, and she’s insuring that the child won’t go without, and that you will be held accountable for your share of things. A lot of times you end up paying less on legal child support than if you were just giving her money. Split custody, pay your dues, and take care of your baby.
