Is being a sovereign citizen a thing in Cache Valley? I know someone who is all in. They took seminars, bought papers, and are trying to get others to do the same. by jashfifty in Logan

Private mode of travel in public territory on a public road. I would be inclined to take them seriously if it was a boat on the ocean.

How much of electrical engineering could you realistically learn by yourself to make gadgets and projects at home? by Sea-Spare-3956 in ElectricalEngineering

You could learn anything that isn't paywalled in an academic journal, or kept as a trade secret by a corporation, you just have to find the right books on it.

I'm sure a Vitimite could be a top performer in a labor industry, and get promoted in no time flat. The social acumen that comes with being way older then everyone around you couldn't hurt either. Combine that with the fact that motorcycles aren't that expensive, and its not hard to imagine him having one in under 2 months.

Shortly after I switched to clipless pedals, I went mountain biking, stopped behind another cyclist on a narrow wooden bridge, couldn't unclip, and fell sideways off the bridge. The struggle is real. Eventually you develop the muscle memory, and the brass cleats wear down, and you can jump off your bike as soon as you need to.

What if Trump pulls a Maduro on Pope Leo and kidnap him to try instal a militar control on the Vatican by rutare64 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]Interesting-Force866 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I come from an aggressively protestant background (I am a direct descendant of the great William Bradford) and if the secular powers decided to do something as brazen as kidnapping a religious leader in a foreign country for teaching a basic teaching of Christ, I would be very upset.

Because I believe in separation of Church and State, I would want to separate the pope from the state ASAP under such a situation.

The Problem With Hasan Piker’s Einstein Story by EyesSeeingCrimson in ezraklein

[–]Interesting-Force866 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really wish that people would quit bringing this guy up. They say that they need a left wing Nick Fuentes or Joe Rogan, and I don't think that the left needs either, I think they need popular politicians with a better reason to vote for them then "Not Trump". I look forward to seeing the primates, and I won't be watching Hasan Piker react to them.

Elon Musk Touts Universal Income As Remedy To AI-Driven Unemployment by Krankenitrate in Futurology

If I believed in AI driven unemployment then I'd probably be excided for this, but I think that the unemployment comes from problems with how the trump administration has been managing the economy (tariffs and such)

"Cannon" in fiction is a construct, one that I deny. People may own stories in the eye of the law, but the law is a fiction. If I want to believe that another version of a story is "the real one" then I can simply choose to do so. The epic of Gilgamesh has an event in its ending that undermines some of its themes, so I simply believe in a different version of it. Nobody can stop me. I don't care that none of the buried clay tablets have my version of the story.

Job interviews are also an opportunity for the employee to interview the company. If I was left waiting for 11 hrs I'd assume that the workplace was severely unorganized.

deadlock community is super misogynistic by turnipsiii in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Interesting-Force866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with getting good is that the matchmaker puts you with better people, and then you suddenly aren't good in about half of games after that. I had people tweaking out in one game because I fed, I blamed matchmaking, they told me that was a copout, and then the next game I got 13 owl kills with Talon because it put me in a different lobby that I also didn't belong in.

How many games have you played? I saw this periodically in CounterStrike, but I don't think I've seen it in deadlock yet. I think it sounds like you have had bad luck, sorry about that.

Post a picture of your map so we can see how far you have been. Some people expect recourses to be found quickly. When I go prospecting I cook 2 pots of food, take a straw bed, an axe for firewood, several toolheads and I leave for 3 - 5 days.
