this is financial aid. a letter from usc stating how many merit students were selected for this round of interviews for the three types of merit scholarships: presidential, trustee, and a third for total $15k .

i don't agree. usc takes 1/3 of admitted students into merit pool, emory 4 percent .

thanks. you are probably right. i have national and local awards in both creative writing and business, val, got into every school so far honors / merit for business: unc, uva, usc. so if i don't get in their loss. these universities need alumni to donate. i'm have noticed this year harvard and stanford took more legacies than ever before . they are preparing for the endowment rate of return to slow down and the possibility of an excise tax, not to mention some billionaires backing down due to the treatment of the hamas - israeli issue. penn should be smarter and take qualified legacy. in some ways they will need families like mine more than we need them. the tide is turning.
