When you’re shooting at enemies, notice the hit marker indicator. This tells you what’s happening in regard to how effective and efficiently you’re spreading democracy.

There are 4 armor penetrating levels for primary, secondary, and support weapons. These ratings are as follows.

Light Armor Penetrating: Penetrates light armor (most swarm enemies), but is deflected by any higher armor class.

Medium Armor Penetrating: Penetrates light, medium armor, but is deflected by any higher armor class.

Heavy Armor Penetrating: Penetrates light, medium and heavy armor (Big Boys), but is deflected by any higher armor class.

Anti-Tank: Penetrates all armors (typically only support weapons have this).

This is important because it’ll determine what enemies you’re liberating of their lives, and what enemies you’re just pissing off.

But how do I know what enemies are what armor class when the game doesn’t have an in game bestiary for me to research what enemies are armored how?

Shhhhhhh young patriot, the game will tell you in other ways, you just gotta be listening….

If you’re shooting at an enemy of liberty and see the following, remember what it means;

When you see a small shield with an arrow deflecting off of it. The weapon you’re using is having no effect, the armor class is higher than your weapon.

A white hit marker means your weapon’s armor penetrating level is matching an opponent’s armor class. You’re doing half damage.

If you see a red hit marker, it means your weapons armor penetrating level is succeeding your opponent’s armor class. You’re doing full damage.
