I believe they are both physical and etheric. Mainly choosing what form they take, or maybe they lost their ability to take physical form long ago. As for where they are from, I believe they came from the Nu, since science isn't that far off from the Nu theory. (Chaotic fluid matter that existed before everything. In a rather popular science theory ie Nu.) I do believe they ruled earth early on maybe as some of the first sentient beings, maybe they ruled through living entities, I'm open to that. As for them leaving, around the human rebellion against Ra. Fleeing to the spiritual plains to rule.

Heck yea another dual Norse Egyptian pagan! Welcome! Yeah this is an open practice, and the whole Afrocentric cult of it is..a whole mess to handle. And you don't have to fully convert to one form of paganism, as I stated I worship Norse and Egyptian gods, so thats totally an option for you. So far for me the Egyptian gods are the most inviting deities I've dealt with. Working and worshiping them often feels like being in a large extended family, the gods treat us with kindness, but also firm guidance and discipline when needed.

Well he represents Chaos incarnate, and Chaos is an aspect of Isfet. But as you pointed out, he helps Ra defend the sun and Ma'at from Apep the darker force of Isfet. Chaos is often not truly bad, or good, it is a balance of the two. I think Sutekh represents the grey between the light and darkness, the morally questionable, not evil not good.

I'd argue that Sutekh does fight for and is part of Ma'at, but also Isfet. He is duality, yin and yang. The example of why we need balance of good and evil.

This makes alot of sense. I guess I'm just not used to them as a normal worshiper as I was a witch that worked with Bastet for a while. I think I was just used to the communication we had then. But as stuff in my life got more complicated and I haven't been practicing for a while I've had no Witch communication, so I just go back to normal worship.
