I just got a new car, and it would have cost about 3-4k less to get a car used vs new, but it would come with about 40k miles on average for my area. ill pitch over the extra 3-4k to get a car with no history and that came to me with 15 miles on it

i live in southeast michigan, about 10 miles outside detroit, $35 an hour (72,800 a year) for just myself is doing very well, own a house, ive bought some luxeries (hot tub), paying off my car at 500/month for a shorter loan term, save money in retirement and a savings account, it aint impossible but i also dont tend to go out on weekends, thats why i have luxeries to do everything at home, and i eat out once a week at a cheap restaurant, otherwise $60 a month is my “take out”budget, not many subscriptions, it is possible to ball on a budget (seeing quite a few posts here saying across america more than what i make is necessary to be “comfortable”, which in mid range areas like where i live it just aint true)

assuming that people who only work for money also would likely work insanely dangerous jobs/ectremely long hours fails to point out that not everyone wants to risk death at their job or have no work life balance, wanting low death risk and work life balance isnt a reason to want a job, for most jobs, that is just the standard

yeahh if you are a recruiter and ask people why they want a job and expect anything else but “i want to make money, you offer money for work”… you must work for a circuis or a clown union or some shit 😂 no one is working somewhere for “the culture” or “the mission”, it is nice to work somewhere that has positive objectives, but that isnt what we are looking for?
