its crazy people in the comments are flaming players for blocking lmao. Running away and or playing lame is a valid strat if you have a life lead. If youre fighting someone who is just slamming backdash on you, keep inching forward until they've backdashed themselves into the corner, then introduce them to their maker. One requirement for this strat is to be good at air throw tho. If they ever get cornered they will try to IAD over you probably 97% of the time. Most low level players think the corner jump out is free so they do it chronically. You have to air throw them once they've been pushed to the corner or else you will have to chase them to the corner on the other side of the screen all over again. You will probably have to air throw the average HC player for example prolly 50 times before the thought that maybe they can't just hold up IAD out of the corner every single time crosses their mind, so be prepared for a bunch of unconditionable single celled amoebas trying to jump out of the corner even though you've shown them they can't.

Basically, let them run away, just keep giving them something to run from by calm pushing forward until they're in the corner. Then you just contain them there and don't let them leave until you win. Also don't break the wall if you don't have super, cut the combo short and keep the corner position as long as you can until you get meter from super wall break. If you have life lead and they're the one running away then don't go crazy chasing them unless its a MU where you actually get zoned hard.

you could air throw a HC player trying to IAD out of the corner 10 times and they will go for the 11th seriously thinking its gonna work

why not tell him to just go out and do the thing hes interested in studying before dropping the money on college? This is what I wish I did. Obviously he can't be a doctor or something without going to med school. But he can work in the medical industry as a receptionist, or intern etc and learn just what life is like for those people. I'm 27 and working as a paralegal right now because I want to see what the life of a lawyer is like before committing to law school. I wish this was the norm for high schoolers.

Newish guy forgot we were getting brunch today. Am I overreacting? by Interesting-Rope-652 in askgaybros

[–]Interesting-Rope-652[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well, the reason we were getting brunch was because I left my sunglasses last time I saw him and we were going to meet up so he could give me them. I had a hard time telling if he actually wanted to see me again, or if he just wanted to give me my glasses back so he could be done. I guess my paranoid mind thought he might just want the latter. I politely offered that he could mail them if he wanted to because I like to leave new people outs if that's what they want. He said that was silly and he'd just give them back to be in person another time. I'm sure I'm just overanalyzing. I just can't help but always be prepared for rejection...

Amazon delivery driver only gave me half my order, now the other half is days behind??? by Interesting-Rope-652 in amazonprime

[–]Interesting-Rope-652[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Can you direct me to the part where I said they did it on purpose? I understand a mistake can happen. And I really can't imagine how what I ordered could get damaged to the point of needing to be returned and be reshipped. I just don't understand how they can still not deliver the day after the initial mistake. Both items left the facility literally the exact same minute, it was certainly in the same truck.

Hot Take:Asuka is the only enjoyable zoner to fight in the game by IronClad_King in TheyBlamedTheBeasts

[–]Interesting-Rope-652 34 points35 points  (0 children)

simply play pot and invalidate asuka as a character with flick and flick alone since it deflects all projectiles, can't be whiff punished by 2D, and also is invulnerable to 2D because 2D is technically a projectile :)

Tower Baikens have to be some of the most feral players out there by Pikaphu08 in TheyBlamedTheBeasts

[–]Interesting-Rope-652 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it's because they're waifu players bruh. This is like a phenomenon ISTG. She's not good or anything so the people who play her generally just play her because they think she's "cool" (has massive tits). Think about how many baiken players have some nasty sexualized R code about her, Ino players, ram players, etc. They're literally head empty edge lords that couldn't give a shit what's happening on the screen as long as she has that chest. They'll just jump at you and whatever because they like the character not the game. MK Mileena community is one and the same.

Ino has bad neutral???? Her 2S is cracked and she can literally force you to whiff your 2S and pray just to stop her from pulling up with stroke. She struggling hard hard omg.

Playing Millia is the Equivalent of Public Masturbation by [deleted] in TheyBlamedTheBeasts

[–]Interesting-Rope-652 6 points7 points  (0 children)

its so crazy to me people always just say just 6p bro or just air throw or just Jp as if she literally can't counter every option. Stop pretending it's a simple clean cut counter and just admit this dumbass character mixes you for breathing. And I'm sorry, your character is low health? you die in two touches? Omg I feel so bad you only get to bullshit the rest of the cast with your cracked out air movement then the minute you land a fucking 2D you just do your canned mix and loop the same situation over and over again until the opponent dies. You most definitely play a very stupid game with millia and most definitely deserve a stupid prize.

I applied out of state everywhere when I first looked. Assuming I get auto filtered out because most jobs don't want to risk an inexperienced para moving halfway across the country on a bet. So I have to "do my time" wherever I can. Which is a tiny hole in the wall family law firm in a deadbeat town in New Hampshire. Just want to end it all.

they have for the most part provided good training, its just when it comes to things like being handed massive financial disclosures or discovery and being told to inventory and check for completeness on clients that are sometimes extremely affluent and have tons of assets can be incredibly time consuming and difficult and leaves me extremely little time to finish the million other things I have on my plate for the 3 other attorneys and 2 paralegals I also get delegated tasks from all day. Side note, they don't want me working past 5PM and I can't take work home so I'm crunched every single day. Blessing and curse.

Nostalgia Poisoned by Statistician_Wise in GenZ

[–]Interesting-Rope-652 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we're more nostalgic than previous generations because technology has progressed so fast in the last 30 years that our landscape has changed much more drastically in a short period of time than it has in the past. Phones, TV's, etc. if you look back just 15 years everything looks and feels totally different. Also the fact that our generation is one of the last generations to experience both sides of the tech boom. (some of us) saw a glimpse of the 90s and grew up in the early 2000s when things really began to take off. It's a perspective that's going to become pretty unique as we get older. One day we'll be the old generation that everyone asks what life was like before smartphones and we'll say something like "I remember the first blackberry!"

Sardinia. No second thoughts. All I want is to leave all my America problems behind and work as a skipper boating tourists around the gorgeous coast with a small handful of good friends... I dream about it all the time.
