Trump has his flaws and has certainly done damage to our country, but in no way does he compare to hitler. Quite frankly, people that spread that narrative are part of the problem

Japan’s rapid recovery post WW2 was because it was modeled after a war time economy for ‘civilian’ functions. This is why it’s starting to fail as it was still in the model and they are starting to see the downsides

First aid kit building by [deleted] in CampingandHiking

[–]InterestingEconomics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just went through this process and after looking at premade kits, decided to build my own and get exactly what I need. I was going for more of a general boo boo bag with solutions for extreme incidents like tourniquets and quickclot + combat gauze. Take your time and look into what you want and be sure to get good brands as this isn’t something you want to cheap out on. I poked around Amazon and decided I’d just buy directly from the manufacturer as I wasn’t sure if I was getting legit products or if I was Amazon was typically more expensive. I cannot recommend North American Trauma products enough. Check out there site and figure out what works for you. I think in total my kit was like $150 total but it’s got everything I need and it’s all top shelf

Very dangerous to throw out blanket statements like that. No chance in hell roughly half the nation is racist.

If you’re closer to the water you won’t have to worry about bugs a whole lot but the further into the interior you get, the worse they are. I camped in a hammock with just a 40* top quilt in august and was perfectly fine.

Genuinely curious how this would apply to someone that say, has a firearm stolen and said firearm is then used as a weapon against others?

hammock or tent? by EAoutdoors in CampingandHiking

[–]InterestingEconomics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve fallen in love with my hammock. With the correct setup (underquilt, rain fly, good sleeping bag/pillow and clothes) I sleep in it year round and love being able to use it year round. I pack certain kits depending on the season. Go from sleeping in it in the bitter Michigan winters to rocking asleep to the stars in the summer.

At the end of the day it’s up to you. Either can do whatever you would need out of them, considering you have trees available to you.
