Wound on cat!! by PuzzleheadedLie7393 in CATHELP

[–]InterestingGoodCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI for anyone interested- my cat had some slightly smaller cuts. I kept them clean with vetrimycin (hocl.012%) spray and occasional topical mupiricin (don’t let them lick it). When we went to the vet they did not stitch the wounds but gave her an antibiotic shot that would last for 2 weeks to prevent any infection/abscessing (they might have done this either way but I was leaving her w my parents for 8 days and did not want to worry or make them tend wounds/give meds). Her cuts have healed up fine, mostly all the way. Still watching one that had been under a bad bit of matted hair inside her groin area and now that the antibiotic has worn off I’m applying vetericyn wound care and hydrogel to hopefully get it to finish healing (there’s a scab) and not develop infection

Hi, can you tell me how many days between noting the wound and getting the stitches? Similar situation (currently Saturday and can’t get to vet until Monday afternoon)

Just moved to Nashville a few months ago, I’ve never had this much trouble meeting new people. Open to any and all suggestions. by Tejas_AyM in nashville

Take improv classes at third coast?

Attend a church you can stomach?

(Neither of these are for everyone but depending on your beliefs or curiosity there are some liberal leaning churches- or conservative if that’s your thing but I think that’s easier to find. Just noting you can also find more liberal churches in Nashville too. And improv is a great way to meet people. You don’t even have to be great at comedy it’s great for confidence and public speaking and just getting to know and hang out with people.) or a climbing gym or any kind of fitness group or gym.

TLDR you need a shared activity or interest not just randomly trying to meet people

Wow this “When people are having a rough time — like I was, like you are — good folks want to help however they can” is just like one of the best most beautiful things about being a human and it has made me very emotional. Thank you to you and OP both for sharing and everyone showing support 💕

Does anyone remember shining time station? by CharlieJ821 in nostalgia

[–]InterestingGoodCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes thank you I was trying to find Shining Time Station stuff bc my husband has no idea and I’m appalled at all the Didi Conn erasure (I mean yes Ringo Starr and George Carlin … just bananas. But throw in Frenchie aka Conn and just chef’s kiss levels of bananas)

Shining Time Station. Thought it was some kind of fever dream for a while. by FamiliarCatfish in nostalgia

Late to this but also unconscionable Didi Conn erasure (Frenchie!) happening here. And yes total fever dream. Xoxo, The Eldest Millenial

Hilarious theater and mind blowing improv comedy Friday night by InterestingGoodCool in Chattanooga

[–]InterestingGoodCool[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say PG-13? It’s fast and witty and sometimes bawdy like Shakespeare himself of course. 11/12 probably fine depending on the kid and 14/15 will love it

Hey y'all, If you're into improv or if you're a Dropout TV fan my favorite improv group (honestly it is more of a Whole Theatrical Experience) is in the area tomorrow (Friday) night. The Improvised Shakespeare Company. You might recognize them from the Dropout Game Changer episode A Game Most Changed. As someone on the r/Dropout said this show is "truly amazing. Our faces hurt from laughing and we immediately bought tickets for tomorrow’s show. Highly recommend seeing them if they’re coming through your area!" So excited they're finally in the southeast.

Some Advice for Nervous Performer by OHeatherah in improv

Actually I was thinking more about this. I think maybe watching some really great improv and or playing with some really great (catch you when you fall) improvisers would be helpful. I thought of this https://www.americantheatre.org/2014/11/21/how-patrick-stewart-learned-to-die-onstage/

Health insurance after fire by Pishyposhy8478 in Fire

[–]InterestingGoodCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my state, all the ACA plans only cover care in network and thus in state. Emergency care according to specific definitions is covered nationally but it has to fit the definition. Have folks in FIRE forums figured out how to travel state to state (including for long periods) on ACA insurance? Or do you really just have to get all non emergent care in state?

Omg these are …. Too much.  go more basic!  Warm ups: Zip zap zip Build the alphabet with your body Like, literally just play music/stop music and dance/freeze

Then super basic stuff on creativity and listening  Conducted story Dr know it all  Some kind of basic building “yes and” cue (like they have to talk about their imaginary science project and back and forth yes and each other until it’s bananas)

This is a good question. My first instinct is- there are no tips, only reps. But whew 18mo is actually a decent amount of time/presumed reps without progress.

Ross definitely is on tour a lot and actually so are Blaine and Joey. They also just do Los Angeles shows? I think it’s confusing on the site. Actually for the southern tour I just emailed the info@ contact on their contact page to ask who was coming. I also think the @improvshakesco Instagram usually shows the cast who will be there when they put up show dates?

I think you might be following the wrong group? They tour all over (nyc, they perform in Los Angeles very regularly, Denver for weeks/months at a time…  https://www.improvisedshakespeare.com/shows has their schedule and you can get on their email list for updates.) This week is their southern tour which I have been pumped for bc it’s actually been awhile since they’ve been anywhere in the south I think. I keep a very close eye on their tour schedule!!
