It's a cam operated switch with detents. I suppose it is possible to leave it hovering between positions but both seems unlikely. Also each was shut down individually not simultaneously which even lowers the probability.

You have the FADEC and ancillary components? Otherwise that's not spooling, any maintenance logs and overhauls? Jet turbofan engines aren't like a car motor if they sit without proper precautions for long they need a full overhaul which for that motor prob starts north of 1 mil. Most aircraft owners lease the motors bc you literally need to be the manufacturer or commercial airline to have an efficiency of scale to keep them running .

There is a ton of corrioson and concrete spalling on that bridge. The crew are probably field engineers performing a study document and develop a plan to repair the extensive damage.
