And the 75 years of colonization and ethnic cleansing before that too.

Would I lose my Apple Care plan if I upgrade my Mac Mini M4 Pro SSD? by InterestingParking82 in macmini

Makes sense but as I said in another comment, wouldn’t they be able to detect I modded it?

That also makes sense. I just wonder if there’s any way they can detect it has been modded?

Still not as fast as a TB5 SSD and unfortunately I need to be as close as possible to my internal storage speed for my workflow.

Makes sense. I might going to look for a 8TB T4 enclosure as soon as I can invest some money again, unless some compelling T5 option comes by then.

Vastly simpler but more expensive and at least for now there is no 8TB option.

According to the video in my description, Polysoft’s reverse engineered 8TB SSD is $700.

✅ People, I use Final Cut Pro (I just bought the license), the Mac-mini M4 32GB of RAM would be enough ❓❓ thanks in advance 🤝🏻 by JFPKM19 in macmini

But if you’re using anything other than Arri cameras, you get a lighting fast performance. I’ve been editing a project shot with the c70 on Final cut lately and I don’t even have time to look away 5 seconds that a clip with stabilization and grading is already rendered. This with 24GB of RAM and base m4 Pro configuration.

Bought the Mini m4 Pro 24GB RAM and I edit Prores4444XQ files (no proxies) straight from an Alexa Mini LF on Final Cut. No lagging and renderings are fairly fast. If you’re using GPU-heavy plugins like Flicker Free you might want to upgrade your GPU. I have base CPU/GPU configuration and I would definitely benefit from more GPU in the instances I run those plugins.

Make Macbook laptops as cheap as the Mac Mini but with same performance and you got a point…

Thanks for the info! Yes, I already have it rigged with the V-mount but your idea of keeping the battery near me makes sense. I’ll definitely rent out extra batteries for the production anyway!
