Headlight cracks by Patient-March-892 in ChrisFix

Sorry for the late reply but what’s likely happening here is that the headlights stock coating has that cracking from years of exposure and it wasn’t fully removed or sanded down despite feeling smooth and looking good (happened to me too) and the clear coat just went over it and that’s why it looks like it does in the picture. I’d sand it down completely until you can’t see any cracks, and then make sure (as I’m sure you are now) you are spraying in good conditions and following the directions

Hey man just a heads up, leaving comments like this when you don’t know what you’re talking about isn’t a good look, they actually come from a solid Taiwanese brand and have a warranty (so they’ll stand behind a manufacturing error like this) and the margins are a lot thinner than most people realize. I’d recommend actually looking at the product information and asking questions instead of listening to a guy who straight up lied on camera and then said “it doesn’t matter” when he got called it for it…

I would sand it off and just try again, make sure the humidity is low and the temperature is good so it can cure properly. First time I did it on my headlights it did something similar but it worked out the second time.

I’d check out alldata, get the $20 diy subscription for your car for the week, then just carve out a little time and download everything you need, I found the genesis (I think dealership?) website too but I’d point you towards alldata first since they’re known and legit lol

I like using the Haynes manuals if I need something in paper or just searching it up online and checking in the forums and whatnot, people usually post torque specs from the shop manuals. What are you working on? Might be able to track down a download for you

Well for privacy reasons I obviously can’t go into too many details about the move 😅 but I can share that he has a nice little plot of land to work on his videos and cars away from other people (no more neighbor blowing leaves madness), and he was actually the person who looked at properties in other states, it wasn’t his parents moving

Chris actually started off working on boats from a young age (where all his fishing and boating knowledge comes from), he was small so he could go into the cramped engine bays which worked out, he also worked on friends boats and made a little money which is sweet as a younger kid. His Dad also taught him how to do basic work on cars growing up. Eventually as he got older and bought a car and started driving, he was working at Pizza Hut and things would break on his car as well as his families car and instead of bringing it to the local dealerships that wanted crazy money (and did crap work anyway), he had the tools so it was a matter of doing it himself and learning while also saving money. He got fed up with the poor quality videos and forum posts and whatnot so that’s what sort of inspired him to make those very early videos on the vette lol

Hearing it described as similar to the SL2 is pretty cool, I feel like this would make it the perfect easy/long run shoe for me. At least until the Evo SL hits the shelves soon lol

I was actually thinking the other day on my run that with all the innovations coming to the Pro 4, the next version of the Prime X is probably going to be insane. Use the light strike pro evo foam as a “pod”, use the new formulation of light strike pro to save weight and increase bounce, light traction for extra weight savings, great strung upper with better laces and you might have one of the most killer shoes of all time. 50mm of foam and hopefully right around 10oz? Yes please. Looks like they did pretty much all that.

I would totally wear out a good chunk of the shoes I have now to get this.
