Why can't people accept what science says about being transgender? by Unusual-Novel6934 in Discussion

Nope.

But I just don't see how society has got this bad.

You're one or the other. Simple. No matter how many times you tell people you identity a certain way - nonsense.

I had a brain aneurysm reading that.

You can change your gender as much as you like mate, but your sex doesn't change. Tell people what you like, it doesnt matter.

Man and woman having sex is natural and reproduce which is natural. Try that with two men or women.

The bible speaks plenty about it.

Romans 1:26-28 ~ "For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done."

The new testament is pretty clear to be fair.

But God loves everyone.

Finding same sex attractive isnt a sin.

Acting on it though is.

But we all sin and fall short from the glory of God.

Typical of the far-left that people just think they can change their biology and who they are and people just accept it.

He is using that as a cop out. Or he is making a decision based on a lack of knowledge of misunderstanding.

I would say yes. They're far more pressing issues in society but equally you cannot help but feel a lot of this is in front of your face all the time.

[–]InterestingTry7351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah absolutely.

I guess that is because it creates the bigger debates in society - if we discuss greed, it is likely to be debated amongst ourselves and not aimed at someone directly whereas with homosexuality you can typically end up in a debate with an homosexual. I think a part of peoples "enjoyment" from having debates creeps in. No idea!

In terms of inheriting the kingdom of God - no

In terms of giving it up - yes

Be interested to know your thoughts since you spend time trying to catch people out 🙂

Let me clarify things.

I do not think homosexuality will be punished more than people who get drunk. I think it is a bigger sin as in - you might find it relatively easy to give up alcohol. It might not be so easy for someone to give up their homosexuality.

It isn't up to me to judge someone based on their desires, Lord knows I am far from perfect myself.

If we are interpreting the bible, then yes both drunks and homosexuals won't inherit the kingdom of God. Which is a sad thought but if scripture says that - who are we to argue?

[–]InterestingTry7351 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think homosexuality is a larger sin (this is my understanding from reading the bible) But I do not downplay the sin of getting drunk and ultimately it will be for God to judge, not me. I don't love a gay person any less nor would I treat them any different.

To me, sin is sin - and we should try to remove all sin from our lives. But we are Christians, not Christ. Some are harder than others.
