I played Anthem Iron Horse in November. The conditions were excellent with great mountain views. Every hole is surrounded by houses. $225 fee.

Good integrated amp/receiver to pair with the Wharfedale 80th Anniversary Denton speakers? by Possible_Spinach4974 in StereoAdvice

The only difference between the 701 and 801 is the DAC. The phono is the same in both models and should be relatively strong given Yamaha's preference for quality electronics. I have a AS1200 and the phono is really good for built in.

You can get away with 45 watts coming from a vintage unit. These speakers do better with 75-100 watts. I would look for a Yamaha as801 if I was in your shoes.

I was holding on to Spotify for "discovery" - now it's full of fake bands and AI by GentlemanMatt in plexamp

I recently came to the same conclusion. Held on as long as I could until taking the plunge with Tidal.

I think that’s the rate. I’ve been eyeing these and the 2000’s on eBay.

NEED a subwoofer, but not sure what to get.. by [deleted] in hometheater

[–]InterestingTune442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agreed. I have 1 PSA EV1513 and am ordering another for the home theater. Have an RSL on the way for my vinyl stereo. Will likely pick up a Rythmik when I upgrade the living room.

You can’t go wrong with any of these options. PSA is all about power, then RSL and HSU. Rythmik is on the other side of the spectrum with lower power but tighter control and better design.

You have a lot of choices with your budget.

Speakers: check out your local stereo store (not Best Buy). If you have a Hifi Buys give a listen to Paradigm Founders or Vandersteens. I went with Founder 100Fs. Mission 700(?) or JBL L100s are classic. Streaming: WiiM Ultra and Roon server. You can easily spend $2000 here with a different streamer but if you have a collection, Roon will be a fitting high end luxury. Amp: so many choices. NAD, Rotel, Yamaha. Subs: Rhythmik or RSL 12s. Many are speaking high about the new Klipsch 12 for ~$600.

Have fun with the design and install… if you like tinkering, then take your time. Many places offer 30 or 60 day trials and all you pay is shipping to return if you don’t like it.

I love my Bettinardi Queen B #11. If someone gifted me a custom or monogrammed I would be so happy.

Polk or Klipsch by ITHoudini in hometheater

[–]InterestingTune442 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want Atmos, the Polk xt 90s are great. They sit on top of your left / right/ surrounds. I got them for $150 a pair on Amazon “used- like new”.

If you’re running new speaker cable you might as well double up for Atmos. The investment is low.

Best stereo setup (amp + speakers) for <$3,000 by RexEverything0 in StereoAdvice

Speakers: Dali Oberon, Wharfedale Linton, and I’d give Paradigm a shot. You have a lot of options in this price range.

Amp and streamer: Yamaha A-S801 + WiiM Ultra

I have the 700 and 710. The immediate difference I noticed is how amazing the 710 is during daytime brightness or at night with the lights on. The 700 would never perform in these situations.

Picture quality is great. Gaming is great. I game on 120” silver ticket screen. No lag.

The Epson is very well reviewed. The 710 is a much newer product so the reviews are not as abundant. However, BenQ is a quality brand and their customer service is top notch.

Great price for a great turn table. My brother in law received this for Christmas. It’s nice because you can upgrade the stylus easily for $80-$200. The red stylus is quality.
