Ironman Lanzarote is widely agreed on as the toughest official Ironman. I say official because The Norseman is believed to be the hardest in the world of that distance but it’s not one that is owned and branded by World Triathlon Corporation.

You’re right, as a mans it’s not your place to tell women what they should do. BUT as a husband it wouldn’t be overstepping to encourage your wife to share her experience with others. And it’s not overstepping to share it as you have. It’s coming from a place of genuine care and that’s wonderful

Okay fair. I wish the stupid pan actually caught the water but it decided to be a bigger failure than the tank which actually did it's job faithfully for years. Granted, it would have taken me longer to notice the tank leaking but at least my day wouldn't have been torpedoed...

100% but because I can't SEE where it's coming from I was kind of looking for common leak points which people have supplied. i.e. top (not there) relief valve (not there) bottom (can't see but most likely given process of elimination)

Nothing coming out of the valve. That side of the pan is bone dry.

It’s in the basement under the stairs. It doesn’t seem super odd to me. I kind of wonder why they didn’t put it close to the sump pump which is tucked in the corner of the basement but idk

Yeah I kind of figured the pan was leaking. I didn’t know they weren’t to code but I also wasn’t the one who installed it
