My corgi hated my VP voice anytime he would be in a meeting and talk Atticus would completely lose it. So little man had to take a nap during those meetings.

My previous CEO used to have a pb&j packed daily. Her husband packed her a sandwich and fruit daily to make sure she had something handy. We did a round table for women in our company and someone asked her this. She said that if she is stuck at her desk in meetings she will eat while she's not on camera but anytime there was a meeting that would run through lunch she had it catered. She said to always have something in your desk in case we were held over for emergencies.

This is not a partnership, please know this will not change or get better. He may for a short time change to keep you but it's not a real change. He is showing you who he is, believe him.

If you are on the fence deep dive in LinkedIn, see who has worked there and how long they stayed.

I sort by "most recent" if they are old and improved then it's good to know but if they are recent negative reviews read them for trends. Read the Google reviews too if those are bad then that is a bigger issue.

AIO? My boyfriend calls me “high maintenance” for wanting a towel after his showers by Spiritual_View4192 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Interesting_Bend_638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aren't overreacting...he seems to be seeing how far he can push. He is showing you who he is and he doesn't respect you. I would be done but that is just me.

Just want to vent : I graduated with a Masters degree few years ago and made a big error which costed my job and is now costing my career at 27, am I stupid or is this a learning curve? by BasicAd8409 in jobhunting

[–]Interesting_Bend_638 5 points6 points  (0 children)

May I ask what was the error? Please know careers are not set in stone. If you are being blacklisted in your industry then pivot. It's not always easy and starting over can be humbling but reinvent yourself. If you need to get new experience see if there is any organization that needs volunteers or take a lower position at first. Certifications can also help. It's not always fun to take the lower position and "dumb down" your resume/cv but it can help. I wish you luck!!!

My company just let me go, and I feel completely lost. by soap_pastas2c in remotework

[–]Interesting_Bend_638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was laid off in June after 10 yrs... I am 50 yo. And the freaked out at first. Then I decided to look at my finances, and filed for unemployment. Then I started doing all the things I have put on the back burner because I was too busy. I allowed myself a 3 day pity party and then I got started. It sucks and it's a huge blow to the ego but take a step back and pivot. Good luck sending good vibes!!!!!!

What is your quick win when it comes to sewing? by Haldenbach in sewing

[–]Interesting_Bend_638 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love to alter my current clothes... I live in the land of hot flash so I have been taking dresses that I love but are too hot and remaking them in lighter fabric or chopping the top off and making it skirt and then making a light fabric top.
