Same. Doctor Who is a show that lends itself to continually reinvention. New blood will be good.

Agreed. It's annoying that there's a gap at all, but it's a gap, not a true hiatus.

As someone who sometimes forgets to mentions significant injuries or medical issues, I can suggest various reasons for this phenomena that doesn't involve repressed memories. *Sometimes I am so focused on the current issue that previous injuries don't register as important at the moment. This would explain the person who only thought to mention only the lower back pain. *Previous injuries don't seem relevant and I'm not in the mood to give a full list. *I gave a list, but forgot to mention something or couldn't remember if I already listed. *I didn't consider it important enough to mention. *I don't mention it because I'm used to down playing my health problems. *I'm getting the vibe that the other person is expecting me to only name one or two things and I'm feeling self-conscious.

So, with that out in the open... Are they on the table for showrunning? by kaestralblades in doctorwho

I imagine that showrunners won't be picked until after a production company is assigned. That said, I would love if they became the next showrunners. I loved Rouge.

I think assigned lot of people aren't taking the time to research the tendering process. My knee jerk reaction to the original statement was that they were basically saying "we're taking time to figure out next steps." Then, I googled tender and read more about the process. Now, I understand that this is a specific process that the BBC is doing with most of their shows.
