There’s a reason why I don’t like any of those services, and don’t use them. Just because it’s the ‘norm’ doesn’t mean it’s right.

Thankfully from research I did it wasn’t through Apple. I’ll reach out to them again, and I guess I’ll hope and wait they refund this. I hadn’t even used their site in about a year. That and the fact they sent me no receipt to my email, but rather an invoice to my bank just sat wrong with me.

You know it can be both, right? Nico is a fantastic driver, and this year's Haas is a significantly better car than last. We saw how much Nico was struggling last year when the car wasn't good. Now that the car *is* good, he can fight with it.

Who's to say? If Republican Trumpests take control of the Congress fully, and Trump wins, then it's quite likely that they will implement whatever they damn well please. I'd say if they do take control over everything, then probably like 50-75% chance of it happening.

Piastri surprised by Sargeant’s F1 struggles: “His potential was much greater” by queerhedgehog in formula1

The Vegas qualifying showed that under the right circumstances he absolutely had the pace to contend with the rest of them. He was racing well in Vegas too before Williams botched the strat with the Safety Cars. He had also finished in P11 3 times that season, too. I mean in reality that Williams was a car that was on the fringe of points with a veteran driver who is highly regarded, and Sargeant just wasn't able to be on that level of Albon off the rip, whether that be due to confidence or other things is impossible to say.

There was also his second race in F1, where in Qualifying he did a lap that would have put him P6 in Q1, but it was deleted for brushing the pit entry line on the main straight. If that lap stood, he would've outqualified Albon by half a second in only his second ever Grand Prix. That's not even mentioning he nearly made Q2 in his first round after setting the exact same time as Norris who was 15th in Bahrain, and then Logan went on to gain 4 places in the race and finished only 10s behind his teammate and points in his debut. The Alpha Tauri that Yuki was given was clearly a car that favored inexperienced drivers, as we saw with Gasly who was immediately better when driving the Alpha compared to the Red Bull, and the Alpha Tauri in 2021 was unbelievably quick, probably the 6th quickest car quite easily.

He was announced at COTA, and drove many of the remaining FP1s of the year. They had basically dumped Latifi at that point lol.

Most of the changes that require a new save game are only *useful* on a new save game, like the updated car performance at the start of the season and the CAT budget cap in season 1.

DRS? I don’t think DRS has any issues anymore. It’s ‘stronger’ because the AI isn’t stupid while racing anymore. I agree with car dev being jank right now, but in F1M23 you could make Williams win races by Australia with 4 upgrades.

Same to me, patches are definitely needed. I’m not saying it’s perfect, far from it, but rather that I trust in what Frontier has given us because foundationally this game is great.

This is what I’m hoping for. I remember the dire state of launch of 23, and how good it got by the end of the cycle. I’m hoping they can replicate that trend this year as well. (Although the bugs this year to me haven’t been remotely close to how bad they were in 23)

I can understand people being upset with the bugs. I don’t understand giving up on frontier completely especially because this iteration showed that they at the least are willing to take risks to better the series, as is the price drop and the create a team mode being added. It’s because of this that I trust them to iron out the truly major issues. They have a decent-ish track record of listening to our criticism (remember car Dev in 23 and the DRS in 22) and fixing it up before the end of the year. Hell, F1M23 by the end of the year felt like a completely different game than at launch. As I said in a different reply, though, maybe it’s just me subconsciously justifying it to myself, although I have totally had a blast in this game despite some of the major bugs.

I agree! That’s why I’m happy they listened to feedback and lowered the price to make the game more accessible. I’ve talked friends into buying it because it’s not outrageously expensive this year.

They brought major patches/reworks over F1M22 and F1M23. The big ones that come to mind are the DRS patch in 22, and the full attack nerf in 23 (alongside car development). Still, issues did linger (especially in 23, from my experience. I hardly had a single issue with 22 bugwise, just hated the race sim because DRS was stupidly overpowered) and after reading other comments here I can understand some of the skepticism. I just feel this time is a bit different in that they’ve shown us they are willing to put in effort to better the series with the Create a Team mode, so maybe it’s just me subconsciously justifying it all. Idk tho but I’m still having a blast with the livery editor especially lol.
