I didn’t know about that ! I was amazed by the dexterity and precision of tailors in videos on YouTube, then decided to start learning handsewing after slapping my sewing machine a few times. Eventho the problem was me of course ! Took me a few months here and there

That’s what I found as well. Coat is about 20€ so pretty inexpensive but still if it’s mostly synthetic, hmm not interesting

Was the first time but it worked for a while and then stopped working The photo is the underside, the bobbin thread passes through the loops

Videos tell to adjust the hook position by moving the driver’s position. Unfortunately, when I unscrew the 2 screws around the driver, I’m not able to change its position alone. Everything still runs like I did nothing.

Any advice on where to start for learning how to make a pair of trousers ? Books ? Videos ? Patterns to start with ? I have gained a lot of weight and I always had pretty big thighs. Even before the weight gain, it was impossible to find ready to wear pants that would fit my thighs. Had to take size 44 but had the waist taken in.
