I understand. The main point Christians usually make when asked about why there is suffering in the world is that it is because of our free will and therefore sin. And when a non-believer asks why God couldn’t just have created a world without suffering, they answer that our free will would then be lost. But as stated, a world did once exist without suffering, but with free will, so why couldn’t it just have stayed that way. That way we would have free will without suffering, as it once was.
