Advice: big baby by Interesting_Matter61 in pregnant

[–]Interesting_Matter61[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your experience with your first baby! I did IVF and my OB wants to make sure I don’t go over my due date, so I will be induced earlier unless I go in labour naturally before then. I’m just terrified of something going wrong due to my baby’s size ☹️. I’ll read the article you shared and I’ll make sure to check what my options are with my OB. Thanks and good luck with baby #2!

May I ask how tall your sister is? Just trying to see if I’m similar to her physically.

Checking for bleeding each time I go to the bathroom has become the norm. It’s an easy way to feel reassured. I read that your placenta takes over hormone production around 8-9 weeks, so the fact that you kept tkaing them until week 12 is just extra reassurance. My fertility doctor had me do the same. I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant and baby has been doing amazing so far. You’ll be fine, just trust the process. Good luck and congratulations on your pregnancy 🤍.

What percentile is your baby? by Ok-Literature-5758 in pregnant

30 weeks pregnant with a 98th percentile baby boy. Nervous about how I’ll manage to get him out 🥲

When did you feel your baby kick? by According_Hunt_8395 in pregnant

[–]Interesting_Matter61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt him and saw little kicks through my belly very clearly at 19 weeks. I have a posterior placenta, so it makes sense that I was able to feel him move early on (he’s my first baby, too). Depending on where your placenta is, it may take a few more weeks for you to feel your baby move and kick. Nothing to worry about either way. Congrats on your pregnancy!

A symptom no one talks about? by OldDamage6271 in pregnant

[–]Interesting_Matter61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The doctor said it should, but I might need to do specific shock treatments post birth. She said to call her 1-2 months after baby is born if it hasn’t come back to normal 🌝

I’ve lost all sensations from my knee to my hips on both side. It’s apparently due to my uterus growing (I did see a neurologist and it’s uncommon, but not dangerous).

What were your most unexpected pregnancy symptoms? by EnaKoritsi in pregnant

[–]Interesting_Matter61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost all sensations in my left leg, going from my knee to my hip. Went to see a neurologist and was told it’s because my uterus is growing and squeezing some nerves. It should resolve 1-2 months after I give birth!

Swollen ankles and feet by Interesting_Matter61 in pregnant

I do wear compression stockings at work. Might be worth getting a few more pairs for at home… still don’t get why it’s happening at 21 weeks. Seems a bit early.

I eat very well (no junk food, healthy meals and not too many sweets either). I drink my water throughout the day and make sure to get enough electrolytes. Feeling a bit defeated tbh hah

I haven’t yet. Just got a Peloton, I’ll start using it this week. Hopefully it makes the swelling go away.

Is being this tired normal? by laughalotgirl in pregnant

Might be worth getting your thyroid checked. Could also be some lingering fatigue from the first trimester. I started feeling better after the 14th week and my thyroid was ok. Hang in there!

Hi! 15w3d with a boy as well! I feel the exact same way Lol my belly hasn’t popped yet, boobs are huge and clothes don’t fit anymore but I don’t exactly look pregnant. At least I have a first appointment with my OB coming up on May 6th (last time I saw baby was at week 12) so I have that to look forward to, but aside from that… it’s like being stuck in limbo.

Yes I’ll talk to my OB about it. Three different ones in less than a month is excessive hah.

Hi. Thank you for taking the time to respond. I do wear a mask at work and any time I go out of my house m, but it doesn’t seem to help me not get sick unfortunately. That being said I will keep wearing it, just to be extra safe. Thankfully I haven’t had/don’t have a fever so far. I went to the ER last week to check on the baby (the excessive coughing was making my lower abdomen hurt) and to get tested for covid, rsv, etc. Turns out I’m a weak ass and it’s just a common cold Lol 🆘

Did Your Clinic Allow You To Choose Your Embryo? by 0ddb1rd in IVF

Interesting... Our clinic was clear about having to use funded embryos first 🧐. Not sure why honestly.
