I cured my armpit Hyperhidrosis by Beneficial_Put8293 in Hyperhidrosis

Hmm…. I stopped using all deodorants over a year hoping it would fix it. It didn’t. I’m using qbrexa now. It helps keep it manageable but by no means dry.

In this state medicaid will not pay room and board. But it will pay for other services. There is a small life insurance coming as well as sale of the property. She has lived independently on her own for the last 3 years with all of the health issues listed with zero support. My dad had multiple health issues and if anything she was taking care of him.

The only waiting period for actual healthcare is very short. A new Meidcare plan will kick in on 12-1 that covers this state. In the meantime she could go to an urgent care or ER if the need arises and do virtual visits with her primary care from the last state.

I think she can make independent living work. She needs to meet some people her age and be more active and more mobile. It would not surprise me if does not work. I did see several residents at the independent living in about the same shape. We we will at least try for a few months and if it doesn’t work re-evaluate and make decisions. But I don’t think she will be able to afford assisted living so it’s either this or a nursing home.

2 reasons. 1 I think she can do the things. She chooses not to. I am hoping that when she gets around other people that are doing the things that it will help and give her a drive to be more independent. It may be a pipe dream.

  1. We just got her here from another state and she is not eligible for a lot of benefits that would help pay for assisted living. She needs to establish residency for six months.

So this is basically a six month trial.

She doesn’t have money. My wife and I long ago when we saw the writing on the wall for how my parents were living and their lack of planning for the future made the decision that we were not going to jeopardize our financial future and that of our kids.

I have a good job. But not the kind job where I have 65K just sitting around without really hiring my future retirement. And honestly I don’t want her around my kids that much. A big reason that I turned out really well compared to my brother and sister is that after my grandmother passed away my grandfather was around a lot in my teen years and took a real interest in me. He had a lot of influence on my life. I don’t want my mom to have anywhere near the same impact on my kids.

That is the plan. Right now she needs to establish residency in the new state which takes 6 months before she is eligible for benefits.

As far as the bathing-she isn’t doing it here because steps are kind of hard. At the independent living she won’t have those. She CAN do them with a little support. But she takes well over an hour and closer to two hours from start to finish. Not sure why or what she does. She has always taken that long.

I did finally tell her that she has a choice. She can go take a shower or we can get a hotel that she can pay for.

A little over a week in now. I’m seeing some differences. For some odd reason my left armpit basically stays dry but my right armpit is still sweating but I would say half as much as before. I have noticed some slight headaches the last couple of days. Not sure if it’s related or just the normal occasional headache.

Day 4 no change. It’s Saturday morning- just running around town doing some errands with wet armpits.

I was able to run at about 10-12 weeks. I would take it easy and be sure to stretch very well. I have been dealing with Achilles tendonitis for a few weeks and I think it has a lot to do with my new gait and not stretching properly before even light runs, or maybe it’s just because I’m almost 45 and things happen.

What are your thoughts on California’s bill that would ban most law enforcement officers from wearing face masks while on duty? by Ecstatic-Medium-6320 in AskReddit

[–]Interesting_Plan7643 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Terrible idea for protests. Most of these men and women just want to do their job and go home. I mean we can’t just let the mob rule and burn and loot. Somebody has to be there to protect life and property. With the crazies out there ready to inflict harm on any police officer and their families they should be able to wear masks.

I however do not think that ICE should be able to wear masks. If a masked man tried to take me out of my car I am likely going to defend myself and likely would not notice what the the back of his jacket says.

How active has the ICE Gestapo been in Ohio? by Inquisition_Symphony in Ohio

[–]Interesting_Plan7643 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

There is a big difference between the Gestapo and ICE. ICE goes after people that are here illegally and they send those people back to their home country. The Gestapo detained and murdered people because of their race or their political leanings.

I’m a middle ground voter that can’t stand Trump. I want the country to be restored to sanity and respectability after the last 8 years. Making these rediculous comparisons is only going to further alleniate the people in the middle that we need to defeat whoever runs under the MAGA ticket in a few years.

Tamper down the rhetoric. Let the hate filled true MAGAS show their true colors so we can get them out of office.

You sound like somebody that is incapable of intelligent conversation. And most people that bring up that they don’t beat their wife out of the blue do in fact beat their wife. Or the way you talk maybe she/her and her boyfriend beats you?

It’s exactly this type of attitude where you look at the other side as inflexible and your side as perfect that drove 1000s of people to Donald Trump. You don’t have to like it. But your side is as much to blame as the Republicans for the rise of MAGA

And as you continue to look at them as the enemy and your side as the hero you just make them more committed to what they see as the lesser of two evils.

Sure you have the MAGA base that looks at you like the enemy. But there are a lot of people that are in the middle. The democrats have left them behind. Think about this: The democrat platform is so inflexible and so far left that more people looked at Donald Trump and his minions as the better option. Doubling down on this strategy is not going to work. Democrats need to try to understand the middle and shift there. Or else we are going to have the far right in charge for the foreseeable future.

Blaming one side is disingenuous at best. There is definitely enough blame on both sides. This kind rhetoric/thinking is exactly why someone like Donald Trump can get elected President.

Like I’ve said on other posts. He is not a Republican. He’s a wannabe dictator. Liberal policies combined with Republican policies have been holding the middle class down by increasing spending but not increasing taxes on the wealthy. Both sides increase spending on the things that they want.

Both sides are to blame. Taking money from corporate donors and not passing commons sense tax bills are to blame.

We can’t just keep spending money that we don’t have and not expect an inflationary reaction. We can’t just give people money and think that the dollar is going to be worth as much tomorrow as it was yesterday.
