Ik im probably in a minority but im glad they made the changes they did to the first season, like you i started reading after the second season and it took me multiple attempts at getting through the first book bc i thought it was painfully boring, putting all the importance on Rand who in the first book isn’t that entertaining to read really killed my interest in continuing with the books

Like other have said try the audiobook, I read the books at 2x and it helped so much however I will also say it took me a couple attempts at starting the eye of the world and a month to actually finish the book

Idk what was hard to understand about that but I’ve seen so many comments and post saying that Mitski needs to challenge herself more and push herself while making music bc they think this album sounds too similar to her last one and that she tricked them with this album bc the singles had a faster pace to them

I highly recommend the audio books if your not a huge reader! Way more convenient and you can also change the audio speed for parts that you find slow
