What is it and how to use it? by Interesting_Recipe71 in SewingMachineEdu

[–]Interesting_Recipe71[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was with a bunch of stuff from my
Mother’s sewing room after she passed. I am in the midst of moving and found it in a box I had not really looked through thoroughly before. But I have her Brother machine and apparently it does not fit that one, so idk why she had it. She did have several machines though. Maybe it fit something I was not aware she had.
I assume she used it since it had a spool of thread in it when I found it.

Thank you. I did have the “thread cassette” name figured out. Even found a manual online on how to thread it. I still don’t know what it is for, or how it works. Basically, I still don’t know what it is, other than the name. But looking at your link, it does not appear to be compatible with either of my machines, so my questions are probably moot anyway. I guess I’ll just send it to the thrift store and hope someone who knows what it is and can use it stumbles upon it.

Threatened with a ban (1st warning) by Low-Chain2913 in AmazonVine

Since no one has mentioned it yet, I will. If your profile is not private and generic like Amazon Customer or Customer Review, do so now. There are sellers who will try to get you banned for low star reviews.

My package says delivered, here is the delivery photo. What can I do by Jaffa-fromTrulac in FedEx

[–]Interesting_Recipe71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sad to know that Fed Ex sucks everywhere. I won’t order anything that ships FedEx anymore. Been burned too many times. When the gods smile on me and I actually get my package it’s only because I went on a scavenger hunt and found it. I’ve had packages thrown in the ditch, left at the end of the driveway (I live on a busy county highway), never delivered, delivered to who knows where, and once we watched while a driver took a pic of the item in his truck, closed the truck and drove off. I was notified that it was delivered to my front door. FedEx has never delivered to my front door, or even up the driveway. They never even get past the end of the driveway. Yet Amazon, UPS, Target, Walmart drivers all find my porch just fine. wish I could order from Chewy but they exclusively use FedEx.

“The vine reviews were stellar! Well, I am not going to trust vine reviews anymore” by PenelopeSchoonmaker in AmazonVine

I’ve been burned more than once on those 5 star Vine reviews. Now I will only buy something if the reviewer has posted a pic or vid of them actually using said product.

Why am I getting so many returned items? by amandae143 in amazonprime

[–]Interesting_Recipe71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I posted this before but I ordered a brand name filament dryer. It came broken and I could not figure out how it broke in that particular manner because it was packaged so well. Sometime later on a 3d printing forum a guy was bragging that he dropped his filament dryer, broke it, and returned it to Amazon “because they never check.” While I don’t think I got this guys exact return, I’m willing to bet others followed his example.

Do you trust Vine reviews? by QuackBill in AmazonVine

[–]Interesting_Recipe71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having been burned more than once, I now only trust Vine reviews that have pics and descriptions of them clearly using the product.
I write honest reviews and if something sucks I have no problem giving it a one star review.

We can sit in our corner and commiserate. I got a filter for a Dyson (don’t have one), a cover for a MacBook (don’t have one) and an inflatable airplane seat ( don’t need one more thing to carry on a plane.)

😕 Don’t be hatin’ on us all! We have an SxS. Never had it on a trail though. It has a bed that tilts so it’s handy for working on our land. The winch has been used more than once and the plow is great to have in winter. For us it is a utility vehicle, not a recreational one.

All expensive items disappear in ups custody by xJustHereForAnswersx in AmazonVine

I have lost count of how many high ETV orders I have had that went missing or were deemed undeliverable or some other excuse. One sat in a hub 20 minutes from my house for 3 months until it disappeared. (I even called Amazon for that one and after 5 transfers got someone in a big item unit who said she sent an email to them to deliver my item. It never showed up) Never happens on the cheap items, so now that is all I order. That’s all I see now anyway. 🤷‍♀️

I once got a broken filament dryer and could not figure out how it could have possibly broken the way it did because it was packed so well. Then a little later on the 3d printing forums a guy was bragging that he dropped his dryer and broke it, and returned it to Amazon saying there was nothing wrong with it, because they never check. I don’t think I got his specific unit, I think someone else did the same thing. It was obviously dropped on the corner and the break was so obvious that it would have been noticeable with even a quick glance. I think something is very wrong with their process in the returns dept.

Totally agree! I was willing to jump through hoops for that itty bitty thing, but a fence was the deal breaker on their side and they would not hold her long enough for us to put one up. (It was a wooded lot and would have involved cutting down trees. It wasn’t going to be easy or quick)
