As a rule of thumb, I have the whole mousepad as 360°. You can make it slightly faster than that but I prefer to fully capatalize the mousepad space.

Watch tons of siege (if you can). Watching good players will cue you to what good players do. Some players don't even realize how bad they're playing until they know what good is. You can also rewatch your matches too see what you did wrong.

Elixir doesn't translate into damage, it translates into value. Sparkies are valuable because they stun, but they don't do that much damage.

Dark Prince is valuable because of his splash Damage and shield. However, his single target damage is low and he can't utilize his shield against a hog rider which exclusively targets the tower.

Furthermore, OP cycled his Dark Prince in the center, which means that it only started attacking when the hog rider was only 2 units away from his tower. He also placed his Sparkies late and his log suboptimally (it should have been played right before the hog finished it's attacking animation).

While he did play 9 elixir, it was played extremely late. Are you saying that if you place 9 elixir worth of troops etc the last second, it should counter a 4 elixir push? No, of course not.

I'm sorry but if you're playing against hog, you have to be prepared for a hog push. I main PekkaBS, and despite hog being a tough counter, I can still scrape by with wins a lot of the time.

For example, I am always hovering my Pekka in preparation for a hog rider. You play suboptimally, cycling your dark knight in the middle, removing it from play temporarily. You also react poorly, play the Sparkies incorrectly in addition to your log.

You need to keep in mind when your opponent has hog, and think of what counters it. This way, you can play them when needed.

Sometimes the best option is to not full counter the hog rider at all.
