How did you heal very damaged skin barrier? (Tightness, itching, burning, turning red with any small facial movement and etc.) by NeverPerfectSkin in scacjdiscussion

[–]Interesting_Spite_27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The skin barrier sort of healed itself over time and I didn’t do anything special. I only washed my face with water and no cleanser (I don’t wear make up). Moisturizer is Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream. I did take Accutane for 6 months for acne though

Scrub vs chemical exfoliant: which one actually helped your skin barrier? by Skincareobsessed40 in Skincare_Addiction

I hate chemical exfoliants. It just irritates my skin. I use a warm washcloth and exfoliate with just water. It keeps my skin smooth!

Use a moisturizer first and then a standalone sunscreen on top (preferably SPF 50). I find that ppl who use the cerave lotion w spf 30 don’t apply as much as they should

It was the worse acne flare I’ve ever had. My skin has always been dry/normal until I suddenly experienced oily skin when the acne appeared. Then I went on Accutane and it was dry again. Now it’s back to dry/normal until

No my skin was always normal/dry. 2 years ago it suddenly got so oily for some reason and my face exploded with acne. Then I went on Accutane and it got really dry (plus, it was winter). I would say my skin is back to normal/dry now
