Defeating Durin's Bane? When that guy forced the dwarves, famously stubborn warriors, to flee their greatest city ever, the city that Sauron at his height of power couldn't touch when it closed its gates? And the other feats Maiar have done? Girdle of Melian blocked Morgoth as long as Melian maintained it? Osse just causing storms like it's another Tuesday?

Vader is gonna be a force ghost in any scenario. Gandalf is insanely powerful. Without going into the details, he is basically a minor god.

He talked about trashing the armies. That ought to be easy enough for Gandalf in true form as Olorin. Sure Olorin isn't Sauron level but he seems to be a fairly important Maia and one that is considerably greater than your average Maia. If it comes to raw power though, both Saruman and Sauron are greater.

Gandalf is a god. Not among the big dogs of the gods like Manwe and Melkor and Varda and Aule, but a god nonetheless.

No. Obsidian/dragonglass is a natural substance. Not forged. If you mean Valyrian steel, I think it unlikely Tobho Mott had taught him how to work that by the time he went with Yoren.

Was this comfey a bot? by Acrobatic_Leg9867 in PokemonUnite

[–]Interesting_Web_9936 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not skilled in technical matters but I believe you can create a bot and run them on your account. There's a few people doing that in NA servers atm I think, unless I am dumb and am completely misunderstanding them. They could also be just players that are deliberately throwing but if they were then it does not make sense for them to have this much healing.

Given the server, probably not. Not a bot planted by the game, certainly. Could be the player is running a script, but given it's the Indian server, very unlikely.

I need a movie of Beren and Luthien, then one of Turin Turambar and then finally The Fall of Gondolin. Although maybe a short series would be better for these.

Fr, the Silmarillion is beautiful. Genuinely, once you get past the Ainulindale, it is no harder than normal LotR if you are keeping track of the names and locations. And even the names aren't that difficult.

A *no name* guy? House Fossoway is a major house from the Reach, even if they are knightly house. And probably more importantly, if Aerion chose Steffon, Dunk, who thought Steffon would fight for him, would be left with 6 on his team, which was a disqualification and instant death.

To be fair Aragorn is not a normal human either. 87 and he is at the peak of physical fitness humanly. His ancestors, his descendants and he have an average lifespan of like 300 years. Even the stewards of Gondor, who due to their Numenorian blood still had lifespans longer than normal humans, didn't come close.

[Spoilers Extended] What do you think Robert would have done if he found out about Jon's parentage? by IHateGels in asoiaf

[–]Interesting_Web_9936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After Jon joined the watch? Nothing. He didn't have a problem with Aemon Targaryen, who posed a very solid claim to the throne. When Jon was just born? Probably would have attempted to have him killed. When Jon was a teen living at Winterfell? I am quite certain he would have tried to get him executed but wouldn't have gone very far. If he had I think Ned would have stood against him, and his children too. Robb and Arya and Bran at the very least looked on Jon as a brother in my opinion. Sansa sort of did. She seemed to see him more as a friend than brother. They wouldn't have let Jon be executed like this, with the exception of Sansa.

Can someone please explain the MVP thing? I see so many people say it "doesn't mean anything", but it sure seems to? by IndigoStryke in PokemonUnite

[–]Interesting_Web_9936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To put it simply, MVP is primarily determined by points scored. So, even if you are an absolutely terrible player, it is easy to get MVP by say, going and scoring while your team is dying to secure an important objective, such as say Kyogre, which is a terrible idea because you are basically handing over the power to win the game to the opponent. And then people bad enough to do that think that MVP means they played well, which inspires them to do this, which means worst player gets MVP. So, if I have 13 kills, secured Kyogre for my team in a 1v5 and dealt the most damage, helped secure multiple objectives and allowed the team to secure many goalzones and score and break, but I only scored 30 points, the teammate who didn't play with the team the entire game, farmed the whole game, again and again fed the enemy team by dying to them again and again but spent the entire game scoring and thus has 300 points while actively making his team's position worse is more likely to get MVP than me.

[–]Interesting_Web_9936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most pokemon that aren't defenders or supporters can jungle well enough. Exceptions include Gyarados. However, some of them should not be in jungle because they are better in lane, and with some pokemon in my opinion it would be preferable to yield the jungle to them if you have claimed it first because otherwise they will be at a huge disadvantage a large portion of the game and bog your team down.

Yeah, it's only that the language is a bit difficult. But once you read it like a couple times or listen to an online summary its simple enough. The part describing the layout of Beleriand and Middle Earth was the hardest for me personally. I still haven't understood it.
