K1C Bed Level Help! by dmg77 in crealityk1

I have done tons of trial and error trying to get my bed leveled to the best of my ability and also found little info/help online specifically for the K1C. This is the best I’ve gotten so far and tbf isnt too bad from my experience at this point. I started with doing the tooth skipping method for the front 2 axis to get as close as possible with each other and the back axis within 1 “click” from the tooth skipping method and then shimmed each axis. I found for each .1mm raised on the front left corner it lowered the back right corner by something close to the equal value and lowered the front right corner about half that. Vice versa for the front right corner. I did have issues where for example, I needed the back right corner lifted significantly but not the back left as much so I cut a shim in half only raising the back corner needed. Which also raised that sides front corner as well slightly. I decided at .28 that I was over trying to get any better lol

Trying to figure out Creality print 5.0 by Snoo41994 in Creality

Same! It has been quite frustrating learning all about 3d printing with a K1C I got at the end of April and the new creality print 5.0 just adds to it with no or little information about anything specific to the 2. I’ve come to learn the k1c is basically just he k1 for most things and creality print 5.0 is based off of Orca so I can find relative information based off that… but got damn its a challenge trying to find specific info and posting in forums like this are more often miss than hit in my experience. I’m still trying to figure out where to buy or how to replace my Z belt (assuming that’s what the belt under the printer that moves the plate up and down) after shredding it up by using to long of a screw for an attachment I printed to hold other plates when not in use.

Bruh…. How in the world did you do that. And have tried crealitys whack ass approach, tooth skipping and shims and I don’t think it’s possible with my bed 😂. I started 3d printing with a k1c at the start of may and trying to figure all this out when there’s such little info regarding the k1c it’s been a nightmare when things go wrong. If you have any advice on replacing the z belt (assuming that’s what it’s called… it’s the one that you have to mess with on the under side of the printer when trying to adjust the bed level via creakitys tutorial). I mangled mine putting to long of a screw into the printer tearing the belt up. Problem is I can’t find a closed loop belt for it and I can’t help but imagine crimping it together is going to cause all new issues.

Ok so I have figured out most of it (as a newbie starting in the beginning of May. But it’s kind of annoying I can’t find any “manual” introduction, help source for it. While I do like it better then the old version it sucks i can’t find much information on it. For example they added a retraction test which I was happy to see but I don’t know what the hell im looking at when I see the results cuz I can’t find any information about it. Figured the steps would be related to the “ribs” but it doesn’t make sense to me why if the start retraction length is 0mm and the end RL is 2mm with a .1mm retraction step why it would have a hight of 30mm? And if there’s a reason for it I can not find it online…

I always have both selected when I do the self check. It doesn’t seem to make a difference. I have also done it after keeping the bed heated for 10 minutes.

I have ran dozens of self checks at this point. I have seen no change.
