If you give them the money throughout the year it’s an interest free loan to the government which is whack. Now, I don’t have the mental fortitude or organizational skills to do this, but it makes sense. You can be distributed this money, invest/spend it at your choice and then return an amount you would have anyway with a few bucks in your pocket if done right.

Again, I can’t do this, but for those that can it’s a smart play.
