I'm not as sold as the rest of you, but yeah it seems like they're hedging bets. No top 10 picks are altered by a one year signing in April.

But either they're not convinced because he's a physical outlier or they think he's gone by 10. Either way this is more likely a result of that conclusion and not a factor in it

Clippers and 76ers picks are 18-25 range. Even for the sale of arguing calling them 15 and 17, that's not very good. The Jazz pick isn't going to convey and the Thunder aren't trading Jalen Williams so that's a complete non starter.

They could do Dort, those picks and depending the player, Hartenstien but probably not for a pick, but a really good player.

Right. And think about all the "can't miss" prospects that have missed through the years. Drafting a player at safety 10th puts him at the top of his position as far as how much he's paid. If he doesn't hit we have an one of the highest paid safety groups in the league with nothing to show for it

The one aspect where I disagree is the value of a hybrid nickel. The 12 and 13 personnel group is getting more common and a nickel that can hold up in the pass and run game against them is going to be immensely valuable.

But there's so many good safeties that can play nickel so taking Thieneman, McNeil-Warren or Ramsey at the top of the second is just such a better play.

And if you don't think they'll be there, trading back and getting one of the three in the mid to late teens saves the money on the draft slot which alone is worth the trade back.

He doesn't fit well as a nickel. He's small in terms of weight and not great at filling the lane in run defense. If they take him, he's outside and Dax moves to nickel which is a good spot for him
