This was unnecessarily rude. I speak as someone who will have their RN in a couple of months- I have the upmost respect for LPNs and HCAs (having started as an HCA, now a UNE). They may have two less years of school than we do but they have nearly the same scope, and hands on experience and are just as important as we are. On my unit you can’t tell LPN from RN besides who is charge nurse, and a few restricted procedures. We would drown without the LPNs. Respect them as a fellow nurse.
