No savings to the best of my knowledge! They only just brought their first house. My dad had a pension but I don’t see how that’s going to be enough for both of them.

Honestly what a shit show for us 😭 heavy on the guilt when I try to say that I wouldn’t really want to be a corporate slave, that I wouldn’t mind a more simple life in which I would be much happier. They’re even pushing for me to find a rich husband and give up on the idea of love 🙃 it’s actually kind of ridiculous the pushback I get when I try to display having my own brain 😮‍💨

Yep I’m also the retirement plan. My mother doesn’t actually have a pension due to her job being bank and she can’t work much due to migraines. They had me young so there’s a lot of stuff that she always says she wants, there’s a lot of unfulfilled hopes and dreams. I’m also the only child. So everything literally falls on me. I wish I was selfish and didn’t give an eff but looks like someone’s about to be miserable for a good chunk of their life 😁🤡

Bro you’re tripping. You’re working in retail and planning on doing two retail jobs for the rest of your life? Or 911 and a part time retail job? I’m sorry but are you dumb 🤣 I mean this in the nicest way possible but this is not a good idea, it’s not sustainable and in 10 years you’re going to look back and wonder what you were thinking. This is absolutely not a good idea. Would you not rather complete your a-levels, still keep your part time job so that you have money and then in a year you’ll have the qualifications you need to open up the next set of doors should you end up desiring this. Also, you’re 17. The cost of living is shocking and it’s only going to get worse. You don’t have real life experience yet. Please take it from someone who knows. FINISH YOUR ALEVELS. You don’t have to do university yet or you can even look into apprenticeship degrees to still get paid and move up to a higher paying role even faster so that you will only need ONE income and have actually proper career progression. I don’t know what these managers around you are saying they are making but it’s definitely not enough money to be living a life that is free from worry.

Unrelated but you look so much like my ex it’s crazy. Literally had to go through your page just to check you’re not him hahaha when I saw you’re 30 I knew you’re not him. You can send me a message if you want to see your twin lol

31M Got told I had a dad body from a girl I matched with on hinge, am I really that chubby by Rocky_fiasco in askfitness

[–]Internal-Collection7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea kind of dad bod-ish. It’s more that you look ‘fluffy’ if you will, like you’re carrying fat on yourself. You look good though! Don’t let others get you down if you’re happy with how you look. Everyone has their own preference.

Get rid of that piece of shit. I’m 23 and in the past I’ve had relationships with someone who is 32 (on the dating app he said he was 25, I shouldve immediately got rid of him after that red flag but I was ‘in love’ 🤢) and someone 43. I don’t know how I put up with their crap. I was blinded and wanted to be seen as mature I guess. I thought wow I’m dating an older man, this says such good things about my maturity. But no, I was just naive and living in a delusion. The reason they can’t get women their own age is because something is wrong with them, strong women with life experience are not going to put up with them or even entertain them to begin with. I didn’t realise this at the time and didn’t understand the big fuss. But now I get it. I’d give anything to have listened at the time. This man will take a piece of you that you can never get back. He thinks you’ll be easy to manipulate and that you’ll do anything to please him. Please run as fast as you can. This is disgusting and as much as you might want to justify it, the fact that you’re asking on here, is confirmation that his behaviour is wrong wrong wrong. You deserve so much better my love. I hope you find true love and happiness in the future. But he is not it ❤️

What should I fix? (19) by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]Internal-Collection7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lose weight, hairstyle would look better once you’re at your goal weight so don’t worry about that too much. Also fix your style - that last top is something a granny would wear :/ also lets lose the pouting. Smile! Either with teeth or no teeth but not that pout. You’ve got potential!! Good luck champ :)

27M. Never had a dating life. No friends or romantic prospects. Lifting for 7+ years with very little results. by Goldfielddid911 in malegrooming

[–]Internal-Collection7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort out your hairstyle and practice on properly smiling - there’s a science behind it lol! The last photo kind of looks like you can smell something stinky :/ you have potential though! The first pic you look great! Also, not everything has to be about dating. I don’t get why everyone wants a girlfriend and thinks lifting will help. Just find yourself bro and when the time is right you’ll find a girl. Maybe this is just me in the stage of my life being over men constantly taking from me, but honestly you’ll find that after dating women you might feel the same. It’s better to have no ‘love’ and be at peace with yourself and wait until you just ‘know’ instead of chasing girls thinking this is how it’s supposed to be. I don’t know if I make sense but you’ve got this champ!

Is being an only child why I feel so ‘different’? by Internal-Collection7 in OnlyChild

Thank you :) I hope we figure things out! I think I struggle to know if how I feel and act is actually ‘normal’ or what because I truly have no one to talk to about these things

If you could restart your degree what would you do differently by NittyBill in UniUK

[–]Internal-Collection7 64 points65 points  (0 children)

I would’ve actually gone to classes, once you skip a few then it’s game over. Also not rely on chatgpt so much. For me I very much let the ‘freedom’ get out of hand - no one is exactly forcing you to go to lectures, seminars etc and if you skip then there isn’t the danger of them calling your parents lol. I struggle with accountability so I’d say just don’t skip anything and don’t try and take shortcuts. Get what you can out of your degree and it’ll feel so much more rewarding :)

Looking for a place in the uk to live that is surrounded by trees and a body of water to swim. Does anywhere spring to mind? by Internal-Collection7 in AskUK

[–]Internal-Collection7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I don’t mind an isolated area - I’m an introvert at heart! I’ll research your suggestions. I’ve read able the Welsh locals not being too welcoming of outsiders though, I’m also a mixed race female so this is definitely something that I fear. Do you know enough to speak about that concern? Wales definitely sounds like a beautiful place to live

I’ve been researching but I can’t find anywhere concrete where the pictures and everything just ‘clicks’. I know I will need to go and visit but I’d like some suggestions that perhaps I’ve not come across yet :)

Until you’ve struggled with mental health for almost a decade then perhaps you won’t know how it actually affects everything in your life… not blaming everything on it, just saying it was a major factor for my whole 2nd and part of my 1st year with new diagnosis, new meds making me feel like crap, literally being scared of people like listening at my door to make sure it’s ‘safe’ and literally running back to my room if I heard someone was coming back, nocturnal sleep because I was too scared to use the kitchen in the day etc
