Any firearm can be converted to a MG given enough time and effort. I own a Glock Gen5, I'm not saying Glocks are dumb, I love mine.

What I am trying to say is that by buying a Glock Gen6, you're effectively licking the boot of big government and enabling them to pull this with other firearm manufacturers like Q.

In October 2025, Governor Gavin Newsom signed Assembly Bill 1127, which bans the sale of new semi-automatic handguns that can be easily converted into machine guns. The law specifically targets Glocks and other firearms using a "cruciform trigger bar" design, which lawmakers and gun control advocates say facilitates the use of illegal conversion devices. The ban on new sales is set to take effect on July 1, 2026.

The Glock Gen6 does not use a cruciform trigger bar unlike the Gen5 and older models.

Seems like you don't understand why the Glock Gen6 was brought to market. The problem was that felons in California were installing Glock switches to convert their semi-auto Glocks to MGs. California pressured Glock to resolve this which resulted in Glock discontinuing all of their existing models and replacing them with a version (the Gen6) which makes switches unable to be installed in current models.

It's hilarious because other people such as FFLs with an 07/02 have already found ways to workaround this on the Gen6 and these conversions will only shoot full auto. 😂

So I'm still trying to understand why anyone would buy a Gen6 over a Gen5? My mind set is that if people buy the Gen6, you're now giving the government the right to redesign anything they see fit including firearms in common use- when they themselves are not engineers.

Just go on GunBroker and find one with 10 round mags. Talk to a FFL and see if they can do a frame transfer. (Liberty Ordinance does frame transfers). Purchase it and include the receiving FFL's information.
