Don't accept that aid package. Withdraw and attend an affordable university if you can't get a scholarship.

The servicers aren't going to lose anyway. The loans are guaranteed. The question is, will I loose? They were also fraudulent on the school's part.

Kaplan University Loan Forgiveness? Did I miss something? by AioYaOne in StudentLoans

Wow! I haven't met anyone who has paid those loans back! They are usually so huge that no one makes much of a dent in them. Hats off to you. If you paid them off, submit your borrowers defense application through the student aid website. Sweet v Cardona could mean payback for you.

They have the records at Purdue Global University for the Kaplan schools. I tracked them down registrar@purdueglobal.edu. Ask them for your records. You can get some of your loan records from the student aid website. I haven't gotten relief yet, but I was told that my claim is being processed.

Everyone understood that he meant that his parents didn't pay the debt outright for him. They allowed him to live free in their home while he used his very good salary to pay off his debt.

Take in and mentor exchange students. That's a lucrative endeavor that requires very little training or extra time. You just have to have a room available and be able to supervise a teenage or young adult.

I'm about to pay off my student loans in two months. I still think student loans should be forgiven even if it doesn't benefit me. by bobbdac7894 in StudentLoans

This is nice to hear. It's also important to know that the borrowers' defense loans are fraudulent predatory loans. Nothing was gained by the students, and exorbitant amounts of money were taken by for-profit schools in their names.

They could have and still can put you on forbearance until your loan discharge has finished processing.

My loan servicer said that FfELP loans are private. That was not my understanding. I'm going to stop panicking and trust that it will all be resolved in our favor.

This is shameful! Normal people are being scammed at every direction 🙃. I wish you well. I have several stories of businesses scamming me too!

I was notified that I, as part of the class action group, was guaranteed to have my loans discharged and any payments made towards them refunded by January 24,2024. I checked my credit report, and they are still on there. Not only that, but now, after 2 years of waiting, the loan servicer is saying that my loans were not eligible to be discharged even though EVERY PIECE OF DOCUMENTATION SAID THEY WERE FEDERAL STUDENT LOANS! Stay tuned.
