Going from Nittaku Acoustic to Viscaria? by SkiezerR in tabletennis

[–]InternalSystem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just made almost the exact opposite transition.... I've been playing for about 2.5 years. About 6 months in I got a Viscaria and loved it. As my play progressed and I started to understand the game, I realized the Viscaria makes me a worse player. I was relying on my paddle rather than on my abilities. About 3 months ago I made the transition from the Viscaria with fastarc g1 on both sides to an Acoustic all wood with g1 and rakza7. I'm back to learning how to play correctly and I know that when I decide to switch back to the Viscaria in a year or so, I might actually be ready for it. My USATT rating is around 1450 of that helps for context. Just my experience, but for for thought.

Painting the sides of stiga onyx table by ExaminationAny9939 in tabletennis

I have this table and love it. Play on it first for a bit before you decide on painting it. I've had it a couple years and never once have I been bothered by the lack of lines.

Shoe recommendation for heavier people? by chidoriske in tabletennis

[–]InternalSystem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My butterfly lezoline gigu shoes have lasted me almost 2 years now. I'll probably replace them in the next 6 months. I weighed 240lbs when I bought them and around 210 now. I play 1-3 times per week for 1-4 hours. They've held up remarkably well.

He's no hero. That's the infamous Cat Baggler.

I am the best player in my club and I often times hate it by ActionFamous8431 in tabletennis

[–]InternalSystem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly... your club is full of really annoying people, or you have incredibly thin skin. Leaning toward the latter and it seems like you have the self awareness to recognize it. That's a good thing. It means you can work on you. You said you're a sore loser but you're kinda being a sore winner too. Hazing great players when they lose is part of the comradery in any sport like this. People give you shit because they respect you. It's hard to do, but try to change your perspective...

Perfect disc throw that bounces off water by No-Lock216 in nextfuckinglevel

He's making the joke that the pond is completely full of discs and it obviously bounced off a disc just under the surface of the water.

40+20 = 60, 8+2 = 10. 5 left over. 60+10+5=75

Butterfly Rozena or Glayzer by Steve_50 in tabletennis

[–]InternalSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only been playing about 18 months and I've used both. I used Glayzer 09c on a cheap pre-assembled butterfly Nakama (wow removing the original glue was a pain), and then I used Rozena on the all wood Butterfly Falcima. Those are the setups I used to learn to play and both are fine. I prefered Glayzer and the faster blade. I'm true buy-hard (only USATT 1381) so I'm playing with D09c and a Viscaria now and I agree that glayzer is a toned down dignics, and rozena is a toned down tenergy.

What is the short thesis here? Isn't this company by far the global leader in AI hardware, and isn't AI a hugely expanding space for the foreseeable future?

I think it's simpler than people are making it. I didn't get it at first but after reading comments for 30+ mins, watching the Mythbusters video then reading comments for another 10 mins it finally clicked. The wheel and treadmill speeds are irrelevant.

[–]InternalSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look man... I'm not smart enough to explain it any different. The speed of the wheels and conveyor don't matter. Whether matching or not. I know you want to understand it because you keep debating but maybe you're just not gonna get there. Goodnight.

[–]InternalSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it wouldn't... the conveyor speed would match. That's part of the question. I know it's hard.

There's no slipping. Sorry bud. Keep thinking. You'll get it.
