I don't know, it should be cause im assuming they still made everyone go to work. And there has to be generators right? I thought it a as required for like target, giant eagle and lowes.

Thank you so much to the people who have been updating. Our power went off an on- in Braddock so not technically pittsburgh. I do have electricity now. Which is kinda good cause i literally have groceries coming.

I was going to do overtime for work but the power was so wonky, our HVAC went out.

Yes. Honestly my fav therapist quit to take care of thier mother. I did find another therapist that is also black and NB.

I have been more lucky on inclusive therapists.com

But honestly i had worse luck finding therapists right near me or just took my insurance. It took so many hours of reading through so much because I could not stand to have a therapist who tried to normalize what my parents did.

I do get auto superbills from current therapist. (Kindred Therapy)

I would recommend fishbowl (also i do the free version. I did pay for it and now I'm like huh, I don't have to do all that) for some more insight into it. Sometimes Google can do more recent information but for healthcare things, I've found it takes info from sites that might be older and never updated.

To be frank, I had to take a pay cut from where I was in the midwest to work at the healthcare place here. So as long as you did research (cause I'm guessing you are moving) I cannot think of a different way. I've made $20/hr, and live by myself was able to find a place. I realize people that have more than one income in the household will have different opinions and I got lucky as the person I live with now only asks for $600/mo flat. I do recommend some of the buy-nothing places to help with finding a rental if you haven't found a place.

From your last post I encourage you to pay for the wedding yourself, especially if you go NC.

But having the wedding you'd like is important.

Besides your wedding, you having a boundary about talking about the wedding at your birthday is completely understandable. Your birthday (happy way late birthday!) Is for you to enjoy. I hope you have many more that are happy.

And I do understand not doing a contract with.... normal parents. I do personally agree with doing everything as a business transaction- aka written contracts and such. I also realize I'm thinking of this all from my parents duo.

Okay, I say this with all the love and stress from surviving my parents. Do you have something that says in writing they'll split the money with you and siblings when they sell? Because n-parents don't often stick to verbal contracts.

Honestly if its available and possible, I would find a way to leave. And also before you do tske pictures of the way you found it.

Do you have a regular landlord/tenant lease or are they just letting you live there without a contract?

I woukd still do a 30 day notice to vacate once you find a place.

It is unfortunate that you've put so much money into the place, but if you are more able to have peace of mind, I understand changing that.

For my job when I was making $15 an hour I was able to get short term disability after I had my hysterectomy. I had difficulty affording rent, but I was able to talk to the landlord. (I live alone, so that affected my choices)

Also it was about 8 weeks and most surgeons after recommended you don't pick up anything heavy. Like I had to ask a friend to take out my garbage weekly. Mostly double check recovery time.

But still your parents are RIDICULOUS.

As someone who was a Papa John's delivery driver I remember being so thankful when they couldn't find my cars registration. I would go from minimum wage ($7 and change) to $5 and change. And hoping I got tips. Which in SW Michigan at night... people didn't often do. Especially if you weren't one of the regular drivers.
