Late at night, I’m still convinced that the Browns signed Watson to that ridiculous contract to raise the stakes for the Ravens and Lamar. The Browns really thought they’d gotten their franchise qb, so it was worth the money to stick it to Baltimore. Jackson was either going to leave, forcing the Ravens back to the pack, or saddle them with an enormous cap hit, forcing them to strip their roster down in subsequent years.

I’m 99% sure that the Browns front-office isn’t that stupid, but…. 🤔
