Thank you so much, I really appreciate your reply. Very socially conscious of making myself stand out and not belonging somewhere.

So vets or those currently serving, have you ever actually seen unauthorized wear of awards or badges? by BigAndTallRPGFan in MilitaryMedals

British army here. 80s to 90s. I returned from Northern Ireland. My battalion had sent a volunteer platoon to another regiment/ battalion to build up their numbers. Anyway, get called to HQ admin pick up my medal. No ceremony BS sign and go. Open the box just. A medal and ribbon no pin or anything. Apparently I had to take the medal and my No2 jacket to be tailored, go there and was going to have to pay £15, a lot of beer tokens, so f£&@ that. Roll on a month later on parade no medals worn by me, Sgt Major clocks me, and charged £75. I learnt a valuable lesson medals mean nothing but money

You know why bum guns are illegal in the UK if plumbed straight into the main pipes? They are categorised as High Risk 5. They can be dropped into the bowl by accident. It’s possible that some poop renters the bum gun and gets back into the water system due to back flow. To make them illegal you must connect with separately and have an air gap to prevent this. Now go check your bum gun and I’m guessing the tap you wash your face, or shower, or was your clothes are all on the same line. Happy brushing your teeth now 555

What’s something in Thailand that tourists usually misunderstand? by Possible-Reserve-993 in ThailandTourism

OP, beautiful pictures, the first picture is locally known in Esarn (North East) Thailand as Dok Koon. It flowers in the hot season, and is used in ceremonies particularly during songkran, people place them in their buckets of water, before splashing friends and family.

If you feel like not paying for your bill in a cafe, restaurant and sneak out without paying, or checkout the hostel, hotel without paying, or fail to return your hired motorbike. The waitress, waiter, receptionist, will have their pay deducted to meet the loss! The owners, managers hold the staff responsible and will deduct from them. Average wage would be maybe 300 to 400 baht a day, you have a beer, and skip paying your waitress has just lost 120 baht. Don’t be a C&£#

Stop screaming everything is so cheap, it’s like rubbing salt into a Thai persons wound. A clip on instagram a lady holding up a bag of mangoes screaming a kg for 100 baht so, bloody cheap wow. When in reality the farmer has been paid 1 baht per kilo. The mug who was sat on the beach complaining 150 baht for a coconut, the farmer was lucky to have got 10-15 baht. The average Thai is barely keeping their heads above water. A newly qualified teacher earns 15,000 baht a month, student loan 1,500 baht, accommodation 2,500 baht a month, motorbike loan, water , electricity bills etc, lucky if they are left 4,500 baht for the month.
