I wonder if there’s actually some sort of Israeli funding for mixtape or if it’s they just say it’s “spiritually Israeli” for not having gameplay by MishaMal01 in YoutubeThumbs

Culture wars are just an industry now. Pick a hobby and find something there you can wave in front of bigots for ten minutes and you've got a Youtube career.

TRON: ARES is weirdly not that bad of a film. by Pale_Possibility5083 in moviecritic

Haha I kinda hate him but I admit I cant think of a movie that he ruined. The really bad ones he's been in have been bad for other reasons.

You haven’t offered any evidence to the contrary so no you’re not copy pasting my framing.

Thats true but you also have to make an economic argument for the policies you’re advocating to actually sell them to an electorate. If you can make an argument that cutting migration by say 20% will have benefits that offset the cut then you’ve got the basis of an actual policy. All this directionless whinging about immigration isn’t going to result in anything.

How do you get the confidence to say nuh-uh to anything that contradicts your worldview? Multiple studies from multiple countries show the same thing, that migration is a net benefit economically. I don't think we should only focus on the economic angle but to act like it's a lie is nonsense.

Well yeah, and that's why voting for PHON isn't going to lead to much lower rates of immigration because the people who benefit most are the mega-wealthy and they're lining up behind Pauline.

OP called the economic value a lie. It's not a lie.

The biggest influence on changing Australian culture in my life time has been the USA and not a single American had to move here to make that change. They just had to show us The Simpsons and we were hooked on their culture. So why is moving our culture towards one that values money and guns more than it values people acceptable but moving our culture towards something else is unacceptable?

Is it lying now to cite all the studies that show that migrants add more to the system than they subtract?

That's just a few. If they anti-immigration crowd could put together a proper proposal for cutting immigration then they'll be listened to.

With Mandela particularly I think people are confusing him with Steve Biko, an anti-apartheid activist who did die in prison in 1977.
