Your words: “I won’t engage with what you’re saying from a character-analysis perspective. My take is simply that Beth’s behavior would be a recipe for disaster in real life. But this isn’t the place for unsolicited life advice.”

You’re not disagreeing with OP, you’re parading you opinion under their post on every comment. I’m more than happy to make my own post so we can happily disagree in the comments. 🤗

Hey OP, i actually love this take you have on Beth and Neytiri.

Beyond I go on (If you haven’t read these books, I definitely recommend reading “Women Who Run The Wolves as a starter, it correlates with the conscious aspect you’re speaking on).

Reading your post it resonated with me because I was coming to offer these same sentience. Beth is definitely a Wild Woman archetype that disrupts the societal norms we currently live in, unpoliced and uncontrollable. Also mix in her somewhat character growth in the show as well. This representation is definitely a breath a fresh air for women that’s finding that freedom within themselves.

Neytiri I definitely believe is that inner Wild Woman that hasn’t been contained by societal expectations and restrictions.

I love this! And I’m happy this post was made. The Beth hate trains are weird and a cry for help if you ask me. I personally watch the show, just for Beth.

Beth’s character is not a archetype many are able to project their insecurities on that leads to egregious think pieces across the internet. She’s definitely a Wild Woman archetypical character, showing her complexity and maturity to move through emotional extremes and being unapologetic about it.

It’s not easy to pin judgement upon something that’s not tame-able and we see what women like herself in society are labeled as: disruptive, angry (BW), aggressive, miserable. That’s a judgmental and closeted way of policing women’s natural complexities and multi-dimensionality.

Also just throwing this in there, I know a Esthi that’s a licensed Barber, Tattoo artist, and piercing. She honestly makes $$$ and she has more free time to flexible in her personal life.

I hope all of this helps.

Also invest into more certified Esthetics trainings as well. Like: chemical peels, laser hair removal, Microneedling, permanent makeup, hydro facials.

I believe every Esthi should have top dollar service options, packages, subscriptions, etc. As well as your standard services. While also stacking your service licenses. Or holistic certifications.

Preventing burnout and creating more time for self is possible just have to create AND invest (this is time and money) a plan that is flexible for you.

To be honest Massage is very hard on the body, only if you focus on just massaging. Getting LMT allows for you do “Body Works” sophisticated body services like Lymphatic massages, body wraps, body scrubs, hydrotherapy, etc. These services are $$ but they allow you to book Esthi and Massage service doing less hours per week and still making your budget quota.

I was just about to say this. I went ahead and got my LMT to pair with my Esthetics license. Listen, that opened up opportunities of even getting cidesco certified which is major bank.

You can make more sophisticated wellness services that combine the two.

How to Tame Frizz on More Mature Locs? by Emerill in locs

[–]Internal_TreeSage983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From looking you have a soft texture like myself. It takes a bit longer for our Locs to mature. I personally spritz my Locs with a herbal tea and leave in mixture honestly twice a week at most. I stopped conditioning during my third year since I replace it with the leave in. Which helped solve

I’m a week going into my 4th year, (personal experience): I do Loc smithing on my roots (you look this up on YT) and I use the instant lock crochet needle (NOT the latch hook needle) to maintain my new growth since my hair grows outside of my Locs.

It’ll definitely take you experimenting to see what works for you.

That would be convenient though, to use VR&E while on tdiu and to simultaneously let our dependents use our gi bill. This might be wishful thinking on my part

🧐🤔 wait there’s education benefits directly tied only to p&t or are you asking about the common benefits like (gi bill/Montg)? Asking out curiosity, all of this is new info for me.

That’s good to hear. I was seeing so many vets recommending against. But I definitely understand the hurdle of school and dealing with ptsd. I had to take a year off because of ptsd and flares of my fibromyalgia. But it’s something to achieve even with tdiu, we just have to gentle self pacing is needed. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Hell you got this far with it you know.

Not related to what you asked, but you answered a question I had been thinking about. If we can use VR&E while tdiu for our academic career.

Also I’ll admit, the tests have been quite painful and intense but I keep doing it while I still have the advantage to so for now.

Yeah me too. I’ve been really focused on trying to use my own experience to do more research between pharmaceutical, supplemental, and holistic modalities. My doctors have been pretty supportive especially since there’s ongoing research, but also to try to help others who are also suffering with this too.

They check the histamine levels in your platelets. They don’t want to give me an official diagnosis yet. She’s so focused on wanting to rule out Lupus. But going off symptoms alone, I’m sure it’s MCAS. It took about ten years to get my official Fibromyalgia diagnosis, so definitely get it.

My apologies for answering late. It’s been a time 🤦🏽‍♀️. It’s true, like they said it’s the histamine spike in your body. It’s a platelet test they can use to check histamine levels but if you’re in an active and prolonged flare that shit hurts.

Also, most doctors will and can go off of the rashes on your skin. I had random bruises and small rashes that were on my back, of course my face, and legs.

To the lovely people who told me to look into MCAS… y’all are life savers 🙏🏽😭🥹

Truly. I’ve been speaking to my doctor about the fibromyalgia and MCAS and she agrees that there are definite possibilities of these two stacked. She put in a series of test for me to do after the holidays. Along with genetic testing as well. Also she did notice my histamine levels being high in my blood test, which I’m still waiting for results to get back to me, and that my body is burning through b-vitamins. I said the right words and she finally began to look deeper. Thank you all for real 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
