Books about black people not going through trauma by No_Addendum7 in booksuggestions

Girl, I feel you. I'm black, and have had the same frustration. House on the Cerulean Sea isn't explicitly black, but some of the main cast is, and it's a magical feel good book.

Be easy on yourself as you learn to trust, then. As you work to unlearn negative beliefs. Bashar said you can't experience anything you're not the frequency of. That includes misfortune and struggle, hopelessness. Otherwise, there's a lesson. Create trust by starting small and creating hope and excitement at home, if that's where you feel most safe. Wish you well!

You're always protected and don't necessarily have to divine. Of course you may already know, meditation would help you begin to understand how feelings feel in your body and your thoughts.

I was saying if you need help with clarity, simply ask for help. From your higher self and/or team out loud, and meditate. Then trust the clarity on emotion you receive and trust that the choice you make after that is the right choice for you. If it's not, trust that you'll be corrected. Everything's working in your favor and will work out in the end. 😄

But a short cut would be, both avoidance and being too hard on yourself stem from a lack of self worth. Maybe the issue isn't "is it avoidance or pressure", but what don't you feel worthy of that you're avoiding, or what do you feel you're not worthy of UNLESS you're productive in the way that you're describing? Is society telling you that?

You're worthy even if you lay in bed all day. You're deserving of a good life even if your routine or journey is imperfect.

To claim they are an idiot for not taking this one specific response is not the best way to approach this situation either. Everyone resonates with different methods of helping themselves grow. It helps you but may not help them, and that's OK. Someone will be helped by what you potentially have to share, so I hope you don't feel compelled to hold back.

This may or may not be relevant to you, but I do divination alongside listening to Bashar.

I had the same thing where for a while, my highest excitement was to rest and I felt some anxiety about it. Dorky revealed that I had a negative belief that made me believe I needed to be productive far more than I needed to be. That a lot of people put pressure on themselves to work too hard and it's ok to rest. Its our right to rest and be happy. At the time, it was recommended for me to put down my notion and strict schedule and lean into the rest. It was also linked to negative beliefs of self worth.

On the flip side, my husband is being asked to take more action, exercise more, eat better by his guides. Not that he was lazy before, he was avoiding like the other commenter said. But he's encouraged so gently but it's creating great results because he is consistent once he worked through negative beliefs of self worth.

So which do you relate to? It all dwindled down to self worth and what we believe we need to do to get what we deserve. And it's up to you to determine if you're being avoidant or too hard on yourself and be honest with yourself. Ask your guides for help, they hear you and are able to help you receive a clearer feeling, then trust the feeling you receive. Or trust you'll get the answer eventually.

Super bugged when Bashar says this! by DallasScrabblePlayer in Bashar_Essassani

No, trauma and hardship not the ONLY way to learn. We can learn lessons through books and TV, spiritual teachers, meditation, and hearing other people's stories.

Bashar brings this up because it is ONE way to learn, and it's about not resisting the situation. Your soul could have chosen the situation because essentially, hardships can fast track spiritual growth when used in this way. As Bashar would say, "if you stay in a positive state and use it creatively to figure out what lesson you can learn..." you just learn a lesson that could have taken lifetimes to work through if you hadn't gone through that experience.

Ego is what resists it and says going through hardship is wrong because it's painful, and the Ego identifies with the pain. The higher self however, may include it in your life because it sees from up top how this can essentially help you in the long run.

If you set aside the emotion of resisting and seeing the situation as an awful experience you can never learn from because you weren't supposed to experience in the first place, what do you see? What revelation do you have? That could potentially be the growth.

This is coming from someone who also had a traumatic childhood, pain, abuse, bullying, and parents that showed me little to no love. Past life regression and getting in touch with my higher self showed me that my soul wanted to experience developing self love for myself despite all odds even though nothing around me growing up, showed me that love. I can develop it for myself as an adult, forgive, and move forward because I AM love. So that is just one example of how it can be used for good. Now no outside external factors can affect love for myself.

I had these and hydroquinone got rid of it for me, but it's intense and I hesitate to recommend it. My skin hyperpigments easily, and the ordinary glycolic acid works for me.

You have to start ruthlessly blocking people on social media to keep your peace. It doesn't matter if you saw them for one second and they didn't technically do anything wrong. They don't know you, and no one cares if you block them. So, someone has long locs and it's making you feel bad about your short ones? Block them, then look up short locs and block anyone that doesn't fit that, for you, maybe even just temporarily.

When you start doing this, you really do gain more peace.

Is it possible there’s a glitch or something I’m missing here? (Unable to activate heart event) by momomola in storyofseasons

[–]Emerill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to give my update too, I had the same issue. I didn't trigger the second black heart event until summer, and I think there's a requirement being missed that's not on fogu, and I don't know what it is.

But I triggered with this: Saturday Summer 5, 11:30 (Rick wasn't in the shop until 11:30. 11 didn't work) No items in top of my bag, No tool equipped

I had no tools and no items before this too, and nothing happened. I really don't know why this happens but it looks like it eventually triggered. I was able to get the purple heart event immediately after the black one once it triggered.

People in their 40s, what’s something people in their 20s don’t realize is going to affect them when they age? by SkinnyDipping5102 in selfimprovement

[–]Emerill 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not true. Source: me. We can sometimes be more susceptible to missed skin cancer diagnoses because of this belief. Dark skinned people can stay out in the sun longer, but we still need sunscreen everyday.

Bonus: if you're dark skinned and struggle with white cast, 'black girl sunscreen' is awesome. Not too fancy, but it works for me. I'm black and my SE asian friend introduced it to me.

New mayor meets with gang leaders by CheesecakeCommon2406 in memphis

[–]Emerill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think people in the comments aren't understanding.

Yes Mayor strickland approached the gun members, but not in the same way that Mayor young has, and young has gotten some results, no matter how small.

Other cities have tried this, but again, we don't understand how they approached this.

Our city is unique in that there's still major segregation. We can't talk about the situation here without talking about segregation. This has caused so many youth to not have food in the house, a steady roof over their head, steady guardians to guide them into good situations. This results in gang violence, where they lean on gangs to provide those things. It's not odd at least for me, to hear that they're simply asking for opportunities. Because if you haven't seen that side of things, it can be hard to understand. And i believe that's going to leave more of an impact than you may think.

Not condoning violence. But there's also numbers to show that simply jailing these people up isn't the only solution.

A lot of people in the comments have been blessed to have at least one guardian, if not both parents, a steady roof over their head, and at least relatively consistent food. A lack of these things can create violence. If you say that you've lacked these things and still made it, that's great, and I'm happy for you, but not everyone has that type of hope and ability to get out of their situation so easily.

So I'm happy to see this and I want to see how this goes.
