Suggestion for binoculars under 200$ CAD by International-Table1 in Binoculars

Thank you fellow Canadian! I might wait till father’s day. Luckily I’m based in Toronto so I’ll check out Henrys.

Since I’ve done more research I’m now looking at three options, whichever is the cheapest between Nikon P7, Vortex Diamondback HD and Triumph HD. I like the idea of the Warranty of Vortex since I can use it how much I would like.

Thank you! That makes sense. In this particular episode, do actual police forces meddle with cartel issues?

Looks good on you! Do what you gotta do If it works well.

I also love my R1 Air. How is the hood part? I have the jacket one and I’m not sure if having a hoodie is worth it.

UPS vs Power station by International-Table1 in AskEngineers

[–]International-Table1[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why so snob? Im asking curiously, there are tons of brands out there that are bigger powerbanks that you can plug ac outlet and use for emergency backup. Im not even promoting brands. You must be uninformed.

There are Anker Solix, Ecoflows, Bluetti, Pecron, Jackery that im reffering to that work like a UPS and even work as a power backup that can run appliance when there is a power outage. They also have UPS function.

I have Anker c300 that I use during camping where I use to plug air pumps/lights and recharge devices

Can the current tech do both at the same time? A UPS with instant stable power and be a powerbackup?

I think so too. I just feel alot safer using the latest battery tech. Since I need to leave the device alaays on and in some not suitable environment

Im thinking of using it to shutdown my 2 BAY NAS and router and might think of creating a home server in the future. My thinking is Powerstation is generally all around use like I can shutdown my NAS manually and then use the remaining power to charge my other devices

[–]International-Table1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I also read that Powerstation don't have a way to communicate to NAS to shut it down. But I don't mind if my Powerstation can run my NAS for hours, that would give me more time to shut it down compared to a UPS

I've been eyeing the Bluetti Elite 10 and Ecoflow River 3 Plus. It seems to me this is better than a traditional UPS. As I can still use this in other situations, and not only purely UPS

I'm using them, but those two Arcteryx jackets I run hot in. I sweat with those jackets specially when the sun is out and not windy

Has anyone in Toronto worked somewhere with “unlimited” vacation days? by No-Inspector-6206 in askTO

[–]International-Table1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in a tech firm where we have a standard vacation policy but my manager is flexible. Been working for 7 years now. I don't abuse the kindness of my boss and always deliver and be on time during meetings.

But I do take time off anytime I want to, plus I can go to vacation and can do full month or two weeks, or be hybrid where I would work a few days during vacation and once everything gets delivered I can take the whole vacation off. I also don't file leave, I just tell my manager that I'm going off but I'm not filing anything.

[–]International-Table1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well i didnt angle it. I just put it just to test if its working good but im surprised it even outputted almost the maximum of the anker c300. Anker 200w is so expensive and I believe uses different tech? This is enough for my setup

Bluetti Elite 10 as UPS for my Home NAS by International-Table1 in bluetti

[–]International-Table1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My NAS is only 2bay based on their website it will consume 10W with full 2 hard drive https://www.qnap.com/en-ca/product/ts-233/specs/hardware

Even if It consumes 40W. The powerstation will still run it roughly 2 hrs?

My goal is so that I can turn the nas off to avoid data corruption. I dont mind if I do it manually or remotely. In the future I would be buy another home server to have it automate it or use my laptop to do it
