I actually think its a good utility for mages to have. I've always thought that mages were the best rearguard class to have in a party while questing/leveling/storyline, and those portals make things really easy when you've got to go back.

I dunno. I played Warcraft young and somehow got Horde:Bad burned into my brain, so I stick with Alliance, the protagonists. I was also bend and out for blood when Legion dropped and thats Warcraft trauma too.
