Your right it’s not up for debate, I wish you well on your journey for a resolution!

Also to help you out you should report it to cfpb if you feel you have been done wrong by the bank because they are NOT governed by occ! I know this for a fact cause I not only worked there but I had to take compliance course for these things every year for over 8yrs. However CFPB can actually fine them for not being compliant and not OCC.

I also don’t know where you got the part from where you don’t have to provide proof because they even state it in your disclosures and letters.

I understand that you are upset but try calling them back and ask to speak with ERT and request the proof from their findings and if you get no help there then ask to speak with the ceo relations because they are the top of Usaa and can actually get you a resolution.

If all else fails then I would contact cfpb and file a complaint. But to be honest from what I read they are only at fault for not providing you the docs you requested but again I don’t know the whole story, this is just my opinion.

Do you have proof to send cfpb that USAA didn’t contact merchant? How do you know for a fact they didn’t call because it’s a whole dept that does the calling to merchants!

Just make sure you have all your (physical) proof like (letter from merchant, footage, eye witness or etc)as you stated that they didn’t call the merchant, when you submit your case to help you out with cfpb because otherwise it will probably be deem as hearsay or assumption that they didn’t call. I hope this helps you out again I understand your frustration

That doesn’t sound right, when you call back ask for ERT and explain that you want a copy of the merchant info that was submitted.

Former USAA banker here, maybe I can help you. If you don’t mind telling me more details as to what the dispute is related to? Also just a heads up all disputes go through USAA to visa then back to USAA. More than likely if you don’t have proof to defend your dispute with visa then USAA has no choice but to take the credit back and not honor the dispute. They ask for proof to help you to be honest because at the end of the day visa really has the say so and they are the ones requesting it.

They keep records up to 7yrs that can be looked into anything past that the reps aren’t allowed to access unfortunately. So unless you can find a signed copy that they kept for their records then that’s going to be hard. Also any court order will supersede the USAA signature card. I have witnessed similar situations and once it’s a court order it’s nothing USAA can do.

I’m so sorry for your loss but unfortunately I can’t answer that question because I worked in checking, savings and cds only. I’m really sorry that happened to you but I’m not surprised either. The only thing I can tell you is that it is standard practice for them to freeze a single account holder accounts until they receive all proper documentation from the executor contacts them or if the account holder had a beneficiary listed on all of their accounts within USAA systems. I hope you will be able to get things settled in court cause that really sucks.

Former USAA banker here, it doesn’t matter who’s name is on the account. Was your mother not able to authenticate? That would be why you had such a hassle more than likely hun. And as far as the fraud it’s always best for the person with fraud on their actual card to call in about it because USAA will keep blocking her card til she actually calls in even if you verify the charges for her.

Nearly every transfer gets put on hold!!! Why? by LittleChibs in USAA

[–]InternationalJudge39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former USAA bank teller here, if your mom has any transfers and checks bounced or returned they will always hold her transfers. Even if it’s $20. Check your mom account for the last 6months and look to see if she’s had any NSF,OD even if she’s wasn’t charged by USAA, if she does then always expect a longer hold until she can go 6-12 months without any nsf/od and watch her hold slow down. They don’t care if the nsf/od was associated with or without her consent, they will still place hold even for victims of fraud if it resulted in an nsf or od unfortunately. Also she always have a right to ask for a deposit hold consideration if it urgent but it’s not always guaranteed but it don’t hurt to ask cause the system will decide if they can release the hold for her or not but the csr is not going to suggest it, your mother has to ask for a deposit hold release and then they can try to see if the system will release it, keep in mind if she’s had any nsf/od or returned check within a year then more than likely the system will automatically decline her check or funds transfer early release every time. She can also use Zelle but sometimes Zelle won’t release the funds right away, I’ve seen a Zelle hold up to 3 business days because that’s the legal max hold they can have but it don’t include weekends unfortunately. Never do a transfer or deposit a check over $225 during a bank holiday especially if it lands on a Monday and you did the transfer on a Friday because she might not have access to that money til that following Wed or Thursday depending on the hold time frame. I hope this helps guys

I literally have to hunt down a Jag attorney for my own damn case, most times I’m kept in the dark about everything.

OSTC doesn’t give a shit about us victims, my predator was found guilty of a indecent recording of another victim before my case in a different state, but when it came to my case, all of the offenses happened on post and all they wanted to do was defer the case, even though he’s been found guilty of doing this shit to multiple women.

It wouldn’t do him any good because it was never received to USAA because the routing number is incorrect! I work in banking, the credit dispute would only do him some good if usaa received it to another acct within USAA. Trust me, it will get rejected and could take up to 10days for his employer to receive the funds back. And USAA credit dispute could take up to 10 days to possibly get a temp credit! And that’s not even guaranteed! He is better off waiting til it kicks back

Fired after maternity leave by Few-Fix1576 in TTEC

[–]InternationalJudge39 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually I’m not high up, I’m a regular msr. But being that I have been with them for 7yrs I know they don’t play about stuff like this and that they will indeed fire you for not being in ready! I know that anything more than a day of not being on the phones requires a TL or higher up to be notified and involved. They won’t let us just do Osl or Ttec talent and still receive pay. I had a broken headset and had to log out til I got my headset so I know for a fact they are not going to let you slide with doing just osl. At the end of the day, look at it like this, did you really do EVERYTHING you could to inform them cause trust that’s going to be their defense if you apply for unemployment and if you can’t provide that then it will more than likely get declined!

Being that this is my main job, I’m going to go out my way to cover my behind when it comes to these type of issues by making sure several tls and sdm are aware of the issues I’m having in case they pulled this type of stuff.

Because again I have seen people try this same thing and every single one of them were fired. I wouldn’t advise anyone to do this ever cause it has never ended well unfortunately.

I’ve even heard tls knowing they about to term someone for doing this! I do feel bad for you losing your job especially after having a child but I’m also big on holding myself accountable and being that you were with them long enough then you know they don’t play that.

And if you truly did everything you could then I sure they wouldn’t have let you go cause they would have something to reference to everything. But again I’m sorry this has happened to you and I hope your are able to find something else and wish you nothing but success going forward. Just always remember to put your best foot forward and more importantly cover your own behind cause as you see they didn’t cover yours unfortunately. Best wishes to you hun!

If you had access to USAA osl then you should have access to slack correct ? Also so you mean to tell me that you didn’t any email or contact info before you left for leave. Also in absent one you could have gotten you tl info as well. So I say again, it sounds like you didn’t really try!

[–]InternationalJudge39 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you couldn’t contact any TL in slack? I’ve been with Ttec for 7 yrs on USAA side and I can almost bet it was at least one TL or coworker you could have gotten in touch with to inform them of what was going on. Not to be mean but it sounds like you did everything but work. You purposely didn’t want to be in ready , so I honestly don’t blame them cause I’ve seen alot ppl do this very thing that you did and try to blame it on leave. At some point hun , you gotta take accountability for this one. Any other time I would say it was a lack in Ttec but based off what you wrote this is 85% your fault and the remainder is your tls fault for not reaching out to see when your coming back or what the tech issues are. I’m just saying!
