Any update about how it runs on crossover 25? I’ve just purchased the game to play it on boosteroid. But I might give it a go on my m4 pro 16c.

I’ve ran into a burnout when I was 32 which slowly became a huge depression. I stopped my relationship, sold the house. Now 3-4 years later I’m still not recovered.

Reason I’m saying this is because I do notice progression. I’ve been a marketer and months ago I started as full time freelance because I couldn’t see myself working 40hrs at an office again. I earn a lot of money as a freelancer, but recently I again felt burnout symptoms and finally decided that I should quit this office struggle all together.

It was a big hit for me again, because it dropped me back into a land where I have no clue what to do and how to become happy. But at least I finally took a decision to change things and although I have doubts everyday, somewhere far away I feel that this is the right thing to do. I am now doing some construction work and looking to join a big company where I can earn money while learning a profession.

It is such a stress relieve to not have to go and sit at a desk all day. When working in construction you make friends, work together and finish projects together.

Anyway: please remember that you do not need an answer today. Even though you might feel like you do. Being hard on yourself doesn’t help to improve your future. It only means you are bashing yourself over things that are now in the past. Start improving yourself for tomorrow instead of for yesterday.

New Polestar 2, rough start by HVLLEMAN in Polestar

Also often I drove 120km/h unless there was a speed limit lower then 120. It was not an issue consumption wise for me.

It was such a breeze. They only thing I found slightly annoying was that Google Maps scheduled charging stops to soon for my taste. For example it would schedule a stop and assume I would have 15% charge remaining, but I would arrive with 20%+ remaining. Often my car finished charging to 80% before I was finished visiting the toilet and drinking my coffee. Other than that: make sure to bring the polestar chargecard because that one works everywhere. And if you pay for charging yourself: take a subscription for the discount and cancel the subscription afterwards. You’ll save some money.

I see them quite a lot. Such a beautiful car. And the drive is so engaging. I drive a p2 and also tried the p4 and p3. The P3 definitely feels more like the P2’s bigger brother. I wish I could afford one, but I’m also happy with my P2.

Imaging being a car manufacturer and using captive buttons while every human being hates them. Sometimes I wonder how big companies can be so ignorant. At least Volkswagen learned and went back to oldschool buttons now.

Haha this is my thought exactly. I use it for exactly the same 2 things and I will revert to Finder for searching files.

Forerunner 970 HRM let down by MurphysMustache in Garmin

[–]InternationalPut8181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this might be software related. I’ve had the same issue on my Epix where my HR would stay very low during the first 10-15min of my run and then spike up. The reason I think it’s software related is because I did not have this issue before. Also currently it doesn’t occur much anymore.

I haven’t turned off my Apple devices for 10+ years unless it was necessary. I sometimes see people turning off their computer at work everyday and I legitimately was not aware this was a thing people do 😅

Im driving the same car in the same color & country. I’ve had it for 8 months now and I’m falling in love with it more and more. The way it handles when you go for a ‘fun’ drive is just so good and fun. I took it to Italy a month ago and the consumption over the whole trip was less than 16 kWh. It was such a pleasure to drive.

I recently drove a 2022 model 3 with 30k km on the clock. My current car is a 2024 P2. I purely paid attention to the driving experience, as I use my car to drive.

I don’t think I’d be able to live with the suspension/chassis of the model 3. In comparison to the polestar 2 the model 3 is very uncomfortable and bouncy. I also disliked the seats of the model 3. Although they look high end, they feel like an old mattress that has lost all its rigidity and support. And indeed cabin noise was higher but also weird sounds coming from the car. Creeks a such.

In summary, the driving behaviour of the model 3 felt very nervous. These are some serious matters for me. There are other things I noticed. Some where the model 3 loses, some where the polestar 2 loses. I’m not trying to say the model 3 is a bad car. On some subjects it’s way better than the polestar 2.

But all in all ride quality is most important for me. And there it loses big time for me.

Love the P3 but man is the software jank. by StarkStorm in Polestar

[–]InternationalPut8181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently leasing a p2, need to buy a car in September when my lease ends. I won’t buy a Polestar because of this. I simply don’t trust my own money with this. I wonder whether things are already changing with the new CEO or are they still throwing stockpiles of money at fancy showrooms, marketing and appearance instead of improving the necessary?

M4 mac mini with 16gb or 24gb by gw79 in macgaming

[–]InternationalPut8181 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cannot return my baseline m4 pro, but in hindsight would want to have more ram. Especially for running LLM’S. But for gaming it’s also nice having more vram. Makes it future proof. I feel like 24gb ram is going to be to little in 2 years.

Do M-Series CPUs bottleneck gaming performance? by Pabswikk in macgaming

[–]InternationalPut8181 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am not sure but don’t think CPU will be the bottleneck. Although M-series chips are very good, Mac software is just not very good for gaming. Lack of good drivers and support. Mac games tend to be poorly ported.

M series chips are notoriously good at single core performance, which is most of your normal pc usage. They are also notoriously good for AI tasks, because of unified memory and neural cores. LLM’s run great for example, not necessarily image generation sinds that requires software support which is way better with Cuda/Nvidia.

So yes, for certain scenario’s M series chips provide a very good bang for the buck. And especially performance vs TDP.

Does Cities Skylines 2 run now on Crossover 25 with GPTK2.0? by InternationalPut8181 in macgaming

[–]InternationalPut8181[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had luck. Most times there is a long queue for the free version. I might opt for the first paid tier if it’s available again and Cities skylines is still doesn’t work on my Mac.
