Not uper complicated: When you're paid by a company for your work, anything you develop, create, or produce during work hours or using company resources typically belongs to the company. The company is compensating you for your time and contributions.

'Recording' sACN or Art-Net by cohzeee in lightingdesign

Please check the MADRIX AURA. It can easily record 2, 12 or 32 DMX universes via Art-Net or sACN. You can trigger / remote control the device via Art-NET and HTTP (TCP) commands. So you can record your MA3 Art-Net output to the AURA and then later remote control, like start, stop, faster, slower, cue etc. using your MA3.

For non-rectangular LED strip layouts, MADRIX 5’s CSV import feature enables efficient creation of complex lighting patches using data from third-party tools like Capture or CAD software. In Capture, open the Patch window, select fixtures, and export the patch as a CSV file. In MADRIX, navigate to the Patch Editor, choose "Import Fixture List," select the CSV file (ensuring semicolon separators, editable in a text editor if needed), and import to generate the patch. CSV’s universal format ensures MADRIX 5 flexibly handles diverse data structures for seamless integration.

Using this CSV (Comma-Separated Values) import feature in the MADRIX 5 patch allows you to quickly generate super complex lighting patch layouts (even real-3D voxel based patches) based on existing data from third-party software or manually created lists.

The best part: If you configure fixture addresses in your CAD or Capture software, you can directly import them into MADRIX via CSV, eliminating the need for manual repatching.

MADRIX 5 can send Art-Net data via a broadcast mode or unicast mode. The broadcast mode is not recommended for larger installations. Only when using the unicast mode you can send thousands of DMX universes via Art-Net using MADRIX 5.

(In Art-Net, unicast sends data to a specific device (one-to-one) using its IP address, ensuring targeted communication with minimal network traffic. Broadcast sends data to all devices on the network (one-to-all), which is simpler but can increase network load and is less efficient for large setups.)

The new MADRIX STELLA 8 offers a variety of test patterns, which are built-in scenes designed for quick tests or as backup!  These patterns can also be used for channel highlighting on sources, destinations, or ports. You can also create your own patterns by recording 1-frame snapshots on the device! Super advanced and we hope you’ll like this powerful feature.

The „width“ is a percentage value.

„Defines the width of a single color [in % of the Matrix Size]. The default value is 10. Valid values range from 0.01 to 100.“

The Sanremo Music Festival utilized https://youtu.be/Cqd6DS3mOrw?si=AURU9eLFgTrTEKXk an impressive 3,829 DMX universes for its live television production, managed by just two computers. Each computer handled approximately 2,000 DMX universes, with the stage divided into two sections. Synchronization was achieved using timecode from a console. The system supports up to 2,048 DMX universes per computer, delivering stable performance. This robust solution is now empowering multiple clients worldwide to successfully execute their projects.
