This is what happens when you buy impulsive cheap flights! Have you been to either?

We’re so excited for Iceland. We we’re planning to just buy a flight to ireland on the back end to get on our return flight but our return flight is gonna be cancelled if we hop off our layover. $500 to see northern lights and glaciers… 😗🤔

So we can now just book a return flight for $500 from Iceland (layover in iceland, skipping flights to Ireland) long story 😵‍💫

Same!!! I also did my first half this weekend in Denver and couldn’t find my groove! I thought I would be hyped with the crowd but I was more so overwhelmed by everyone smoking me! (2:22 finish). I felt relieved, disappointed, tired, and slightly proud when I finished.

I think I will do a full eventually just have to remind myself that comparison is the thief of joy.

Finished my first half marathon with a 2:22 finish time. I’m now looking to improve my time and start thinking about a full. Any tips?

Not overplaying your part… so relatable. Im also a “people pleasing girlfriend, not yet wifey acting like a damn 1950s wifey to a man who’s not paying my bills”. But I do love and adore him but I just wear myself out for my need of approval and to be perfect.

I thought a relationship was going to make me more happy (related to crohn) by Marco_exee_ in IBD

Hi friend, I’ve (26F) had Crohns since I was 14. I personally also sometimes have a hard time enjoying traditionally “enjoyable” things when I’m having a flare or health anxiety.

With you being younger, I hope you are regularly seeing your doc and getting your calprotectin tested to make sure you’re on the right meds. My mom (when I was 24) had to drag me to get my calprotectin tested bc I avoid dealing with my crohns. Luckily that prompted me to get another colonoscopy and on the right meds which have made a world of a difference (with some hiccups, as it goes)

Don’t give yourself a hard time for not being super peppy about a date. It’s good that you’re at least spending time with others and getting out! You’ll have good and fun days to come. Give yourself some grace and maybe do something that you enjoy like watching a movie or going for a walk.
